Student answer (Band 5.0)

Some people argued that publicizing is very effective and successful at convincing people to buy products . Other individuals think that publicizing is soo old fashioned that we no longer pay attention to it. I completely disagree with this view because of there are more individual that buy things after watching ads.

Advertisement is successful in most of the countries because now a days people can easily list their product ad run some of their attractive adds. Most of the time in this modern era people are using their smartphone. For example many people use social social media so when a person search a product social media algorithm show many advertisement according to the need.

Yes advertisement is very common now a days but on the other hand its useful and effective and it is very successful method to buy things with out advertisement we cannot purchase any product because advertisement illustrate how this product work and also the availability of the product. For example if a person start business and selling some products he need to advertise his product so people can buy them online or visit his shop.

In my opinion advertisement is very effective and its plays a vital role in every business because without publicizing we cannot run our business . Through advertisement we can show our product to the world just with one click and it cost you so less than advertising on banners or bill board so in my opinion its the best way you can sell their product through advertisement

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views on advertising and providing a clear personal opinion. The writer establishes a definite stance against the idea that people ignore ads, supported by arguments regarding targeted marketing and business utility. However, the development of ideas remains somewhat repetitive and lacks depth, relying on general statements such as 'social media algorithm show many advertisement according to the need' rather than fully exploring the nuances of why people might ignore ads due to saturation. While the position is clear throughout, the ideas are limited in their extension, which places this response at Band 5.0 according to the task achievement descriptors.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay displays some overall organization with a clear introduction and conclusion, but progression is hindered by repetitive phrasing and a lack of sophisticated cohesive devices. Paragraphing is attempted, with distinct blocks of text for each main point, though the transitions between paragraphs feel mechanical and abrupt. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as ambiguous pronouns in sentences like 'it cost you so less than advertising on banners or bill board so in my opinion its the best way you can sell their product through advertisement'. Cohesive devices are either overused or imprecise, contributing to a somewhat choppy reading experience. These features align closely with the Band 5.0 descriptors for coherence and cohesion.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is generally basic and repetitive, utilizing words like 'publicizing', 'advertisement', 'product', and 'effective' multiple times throughout the text. There are noticeable lexical errors and inappropriate word choices, such as 'list their product ad run some of their attractive adds' and 'cost you so less'. The spelling of words like 'soo' and 'bill board' further demonstrates limited control over word formation and spelling. While the range is minimally adequate to convey the basic meaning of the argument, the frequent errors and restricted vocabulary prevent the response from achieving a higher score, making Band 5.0 an accurate reflection of the lexical resource.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but control over complex structures is weak, resulting in frequent grammatical errors. Examples include run-on sentences and missing articles or pluralization, such as 'because of there are more individual that buy things' and 'without advertisement we cannot purchase any product because advertisement illustrate how this product work'. Punctuation is also problematic, with missing periods and commas leading to convoluted clauses. Although simple sentences are generally understandable, the frequency of structural errors and lack of grammatical accuracy across complex sentences places this response firmly in the Band 5.0 category.
