Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views on advertising—its effectiveness in persuading buyers and its commonality leading to user fatigue—while offering a clear personal opinion in the conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For example, the argument about advertising providing options is supported with general statements like 'they can get more option in their budget' rather than fully extended, specific examples. Similarly, the second body paragraph touches on security and scams, but the explanation remains superficial. The writer maintains a clear position throughout, aligning with the Band 6 descriptors where relevant ideas are presented, though some are under-developed.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with clear paragraphing, separating the introduction, two body paragraphs, and conclusion. However, cohesion is frequently mechanical and sometimes faulty. The writer attempts transitional phrases such as 'On the one hand', 'To illastrate it', and 'In conclusion', but referencing and linking words are occasionally used inaccurately, such as 'weather there are many people belive' instead of 'whether'. Furthermore, paragraph internal progression is hindered by repetitive phrasing and abrupt transitions between ideas. These features reflect the Band 5 to Band 6 threshold, leaning toward Band 5 due to inaccurate and mechanical cohesive devices.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common items such as 'digital era', 'reliable in online platform', and 'over advertising'. However, there are noticeable spelling and word-choice errors throughout the text, including 'advertisings', 'illastrate', 'onlime', 'intrest', and 'sucessful'. Collocations are sometimes awkward, such as 'customers are more reliable in online platform'. While these errors do not severely impede communication, they frequently draw attention and restrict the lexical score to Band 5, as the range is limited and contains recurrent inaccuracies.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing relative clauses and conditional-like structures such as 'For example, customer who want to purchase...'. However, grammatical accuracy is weak, with frequent errors in subject-verb agreement, articles, and prepositions (e.g., 'customer who want', 'going on store', 'deny on that platforms', 'gaves them'). Punctuation is also problematic, notably with spacing errors around commas and periods. Because errors are frequent and occasionally cause difficulty for the reader despite the attempt at complex structures, the response fits the Band 5 descriptors.
