Student answer (Band 5.0)

Yes, lots of people argued about this concerned that somple people say that advertising is extreamly successful at persuading people to buy things and others have different opinion that conventional advertising is so common that is why people seeks no longer attention into it.

In my opnion, if i consider the first view of peoples, so i strongly agree with their point advertising is very strong tool of marketing and that creates the consumer journey to forced them to buy the things. Also, the famous quotation is for advertising is that the more you advertise the more your brand noticed and people will get more aware about your brand because of the "Brand ad recall" The more people see your advertisment the more they memorised about your brand.

In contrast, if i review the second opinion of people who say that advertising is too common that people no longer pay attention, so i am not agree with their view because it is true now consumer is more active digitally rather than conventionally, so advertising on billboard and in newspaper is an old pattern but now the social media handles are best platforms to advertised and market your brand and throught that you are able to reached to more audience in comapare of conventional advertising.

In conclusion, i strongly agreed with the first view of advertising, that is really helpful for the brand to buy things. as per my expereince nowadays people having a lot more pressence and actively shop through social media so they prefer to order through online channels rather than buy things physically by visiting stores. so its my advise for future as well if you want to grow your brand through advertising so focused digitally that will help you to scale your brand and you can acheive your long term goals in short period of time.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views on advertising and providing a clear personal opinion. The student states their viewpoint in the introduction and reiterates it in the conclusion, arguing that advertising remains effective through digital channels rather than conventional ones. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the discussion of the first view relies on general assertions about 'Brand ad recall' without fully extending the argument with deeper analysis or concrete examples. While the prompt is addressed, the depth of idea extension is more characteristic of a Band 5.5 or 6.0 performance, where main points are stated but require further elaboration for higher bands.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The essay is divided into four paragraphs, following a standard argumentative structure. Cohesive devices are attempted, such as 'In my opnion', 'In contrast', and 'In conclusion', which help signal transitions between paragraphs. However, the logical progression within paragraphs is frequently disrupted by awkward referencing and run-on sentences, as seen in the opening sentence: 'Yes, lots of people argued about this concerned that somple people say...'. Furthermore, the use of pronouns and referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult to follow the flow of argument seamlessly. Paragraphing is present, but internal cohesion requires better control, placing this response solidly in the Band 5 range.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is adequate to convey the basic meaning, but it features numerous spelling and word-choice errors, such as 'extreamly', 'somple', 'opnion', 'advertised', 'throught', and 'expereince'. The student attempts some less common terms like 'consumer journey' and 'Brand ad recall', but these are overshadowed by frequent lexical inaccuracies and inappropriate forms, such as 'people seeks no longer attention' and 'people having a lot more pressence'. The range is limited and repetition of words like 'advertising', 'brand', and 'view' restricts the lexical flexibility. These persistent errors place the response at Band 5.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The text displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple and heavily convoluted compound-complex sentences that lack structural control. There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the response, including subject-verb agreement issues ('people having', 'consumer is more active'), incorrect prepositions ('in comapare of'), and faulty tense usage ('so i strongly agreed'). Many sentences contain multiple errors that strain the reader and impede smooth communication, such as 'so its my advise for future as well if you want to grow your brand through advertising so focused digitally'. This level of accuracy and control aligns with the Band 4.5 to 5.0 descriptors, warranting a score of 5.0.
