Student answer (Band 5.5)

I agree that many individuals say publicity is incredibly successful for convincing peopled to purchase goods but some of them are marketing of the product is not a important for buy any stuff.

To begin with marketing strategies play a important role to influence the customer to buy their product. For the promotion of the product the company use a relative strategy which trigger the customer.

For example the Amul company advertise the product with the slogan of amul dudh pita Hai India. It trigger the people because it increase the trust level on amul company. Furthermore the company provide the information hundred percent pure product are sold by themselves.

additionally, Patanjali is a very famous brand which provide the product pure vegan, no chemical are included in their products. These are the items are intract the customer for buying.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both views—that advertising is persuasive and that it is too common to influence people—while providing a personal opinion at the end. However, the development of ideas is limited and at times repetitive. For instance, when discussing Amul, the explanation that 'it increase the trust level' is somewhat simplistic. The point about consumers reviewing products before purchasing is relevant, but the arguments lack depth and clear extension. Furthermore, the positioning in the introduction is slightly confusing, as the sentence structure 'some of them are marketing of the product is not a important' obscures the exact stance until later in the essay. Consequently, the response aligns best with a Band 5.5 to 6.0 descriptor, showing a clear attempt to cover the task requirements, but suffering from under-developed ideas and occasional lack of clarity in stance.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The essay is organized into distinct paragraphs, with an introduction, body paragraphs addressing each viewpoint, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices and signposts such as 'To begin with', 'Furthermore', 'On the other hand', and 'Additionally' are used to structure the text, although some are used mechanically or repetitively (e.g., the frequent use of 'Additionally'). Paragraphing is present, but the logical progression within paragraphs is sometimes hindered by abrupt transitions and confusing sentences, such as 'As we read above...'. Referencing can also be unclear, as seen in pronouns whose antecedents are vague. Overall, the organizational structure is visible, but the flow and mechanical nature of cohesion place this response firmly in the Band 5.5 category.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is relatively basic and repetitive, with frequent reliance on words like 'product', 'customer', and 'buy'. There are numerous word choice and collocation errors, such as 'peopled' instead of 'people', 'not a important' instead of 'not important', 'intract' instead of 'attract', and 'Varity' instead of 'variety'. The student attempts less common vocabulary such as 'strategies', 'promotion', and 'genuine', but these attempts are often marred by inaccuracy or awkward phrasing, such as 'relative strategy' or 'badly impact'. Because the lexical range is limited and errors in spelling and word choice are noticeable, the response corresponds to Band 5.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response exhibits a very limited range of grammatical structures. Most sentences are simple or poorly constructed complex forms that contain frequent errors in subject-verb agreement, article use, and prepositional placement. Examples include 'marketing of the product is not a important for buy any stuff', 'the company use a relative strategy which trigger the customer', and 'there are large Varity of product are come into the market'. Punctuation is also weak, with missing commas and run-on phrasing that disrupts the reading process. Because errors are frequent, cause difficulty for the reader, and occur across simple and complex structures alike, the appropriate band score is 5.0.
