Advertisements play a pivotal role on people purchasing decision making process. some individuals believe that the way advertisements promote products having a successful on consumer buying process. While, other believe that nobody pay attention to commercial because it is very common nowadays. Both the view will be discussed before giving my opinion in the following paragraphs.

some people agreed with the former view because commercials provide brief information about the products. Providing ample amount of information of products to customers help them in the buying best product from the market. For example, Boren Vita shows the benefits of the product during their advertisement that attracts those parents who have a more concern about their child health. Moreover, promotional videos attract the consumers. Promotional video uses some artifacts and tagline which emotionally connected to individuals by playing people's emotional mind and influence them. For Instance, Mother Dairy promote their AD by using tagline. the name of the tagline is "Mother Dairy is like a Mom".

Consequently, the reason to agree with the latter view is that many promotional videos are very long and do not have enough content because of that people facing difficulties to understand during watching the commercial advertisement and feel boring. Furthermore, individuals have not proper knowledge to understand such kind of information. For example, older people do not understand that kind of advertisement which having the information related to modern technology such as smartphones and laptops.

In conclusion, there are several reasons because of that advertising is extremely successful such as giving brief information of products and also using smart technology attracts the consumers. However, there are possible reasons which hinder the effect of AD on consumers.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views—that advertising is persuasive and that it is too common to be noticed—and presents the author's opinion in the conclusion. The ideas are generally relevant, but their development is limited and occasionally superficial. For instance, the discussion on how commercials provide brief information is supported by an example of 'Boren Vita', but the explanation remains somewhat repetitive and lacks deeper analysis. Similarly, the second body paragraph introduces valid points regarding lengthy or confusing ads, though the example involving older people and technology is somewhat underdeveloped. While a clearer and more extended rationale would be needed for a higher band, the writer successfully covers the core requirements of the prompt and maintains a recognisable position throughout, aligning well with the Band 6 descriptors.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear attempt to structure the response into introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is utilised adequately to separate distinct ideas. However, cohesion at the sentence level is frequently faulty and mechanical. There is a heavy reliance on repetitive transitional phrases such as 'For example' and 'Furthermore', and some cohesive devices are used inaccurately, as seen with 'Consequently, the reason to agree with the latter view is that...' which mismanages logical cause-and-effect relationships. Additionally, referencing is occasionally imprecise, leading to disjointed transitions between sentences. These issues place the response firmly in the Band 5 category for cohesion.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting less common items such as 'pivotal role', 'promotional videos', and 'tagline'. However, there are noticeable lexical inaccuracies and awkward word choices throughout the text, such as 'purchasing decision making process' instead of 'purchasing decision-making process', and 'having a successful on' instead of 'being successful'. Word formation errors are also present, such as 'more concern' instead of 'more concerned' and 'feel boring' instead of 'feel bored'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they cause occasional difficulty for the reader and reflect typical Band 5 limitations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, though attempts at complex structures are frequently marred by grammatical errors. There are frequent issues with subject-verb agreement and missing articles, such as 'some individuals believe that the way advertisements promote products having a successful on consumer buying process' and 'Providing ample amount of information of products'. Punctuation errors are also apparent, including sentence fragments and comma splices like 'Promotional video uses some artifacts and tagline which emotionally connected to individuals...'. Although the meaning is generally retrievable despite the high frequency of errors, the grammatical control is inconsistent and does not reliably achieve error-free complex sentences, placing it at Band 5.
