Student answer (Band 5.0)

Every person purchase things in his life. It is nessaccery for life. Every company want people buy their products that is reason they do everything for this.It is one thing that companies do is that they advertise their own things by papular persons and channels. Some people blieve that advertising is extremely successful at persuading us to buy things while the other people say advertising is so common that we no longer pay attention to it. In my opinion, it is right advertising is common and people ignore the adds but it is not wrong to say people purchase things after seeing adds.

On the one hand, some people persuading adds and then purchase it. Today, everything is available online and people watch adds and then buy things. It is better to go outside shops and purchase things. Additionally, people are not know what things is available in the markting. Therefore, they are understand withs ads.

On the other hand, some people is not with the statement advertising is working longer because today peoples are to busy and they have no time and they skip they skip ads. Another reason, people who already experienced with buy things after see ads and their experience is not good. They think everything is fake online and they always skip the ads.For example, my friend buy a clought after impressed from add and when her dress came. the stuff of the dress is completely opposite with the adds dress. Therefore, she never again buy things to see adds and always skip adds.

To conclude, people who buy things to seeing adds because they are never know this before. people have no time to go shops so they see ads and purchase things. Some people belive that advertising is not work longer because their experience to buy thing by seeing ads is not good and they always skip ads.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views—that advertising successfully persuades buyers and that it is too common to be noticed—and includes the writer's own opinion. However, the ideas are relatively basic and lack full development. For example, the writer mentions that people watch ads online and buy things, as seen in the phrase 'Today, everything is available online and people watch adds and then buy things', but this point is not extended with specific details or deep analysis. The reasoning tends to be repetitive, especially in the conclusion where ideas are simply restated without adding new perspective. The position is clear throughout, but the overall depth aligns best with Band 5 descriptors, as the ideas remain somewhat limited and under-developed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The essay is divided into an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing a basic attempt at paragraphing. However, overall progression is limited by awkward transitions and repetitive sentence structures. While the writer attempts to use cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'To conclude', the referencing and logical links between sentences are frequently faulty. For instance, the transition from 'people are not know what things is available in the markting' to 'Therefore, they are understand withs ads' lacks clear logical progression. Furthermore, pronoun referencing is occasionally unclear, such as 'they skip they skip ads', leading to a mechanical and sometimes confusing flow that places this response firmly at Band 5.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used throughout the essay is basic, repetitive, and restricted to everyday terms. Words and phrases such as 'purchase things', 'buy things', 'good', and 'fake' are used repeatedly without variation. There are numerous spelling errors ('nessaccery', 'papular', 'blieve', 'adds', 'markting', 'clought') and word-form errors ('people persuading adds', 'experience with buy things'), which reflect a limited vocabulary range. Although the meaning can generally be discerned despite these errors, the lexical resource is constrained and contains noticeable inaccuracies that cause difficulty for the reader, matching the criteria for a Band 4.5 or rounded to Band 5.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentences, but the grammatical accuracy is very low. Almost every sentence contains noticeable errors in tense, subject-verb agreement, article use, and prepositions. Examples include 'Every person purchase things', 'people are not know what things is available', 'some people is not with the statement', and 'peoples are to busy'. Complex structures are frequently faulty, such as in the clause 'people who already experienced with buy things after see ads'. These frequent errors place a significant strain on the reader and demonstrate a lack of control over basic grammatical structures, corresponding to a Band 4.
