| Criterion | Band |
|---|---|

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
Your response sits at this level because you respond to the task only minimally. While you touch upon both views and state your own opinion, your ideas are severely limited, repetitive, and under-developed. Furthermore, there is a critical penalty to consider: the length requirement is not met. The response contains only 194 words, falling significantly short of the 250-word minimum specified for Task 2. To improve, you must write at least 250 words, fully explain your arguments with clear explanations and specific examples, and ensure you cover all parts of the prompt in greater depth rather than repeating the same points about business growth.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
Your response sits at this level because information and ideas are not arranged coherently throughout the essay. Although you attempt to use paragraphing and transition phrases such as 'In my opinion', 'Overall', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion', the progression of ideas is faulty. Sentences like 'When the people looked at the product in the billboard, and in the social media they aware of the product and want to buy it' show disjointed connections and repetitive looping of the same core thought. To move to a higher band, you need to structure your paragraphs logically with a clear central topic for each, and use cohesive devices accurately to link your ideas without repeating yourself.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
Your response sits at this level because your vocabulary is basic and repetitive. Throughout your essay, you rely heavily on simple words and phrases such as 'advertising', 'best way', 'success', and 'things'. There are also noticeable lexical errors and awkward collocations, such as writing 'waisting of time' instead of 'wastage' or 'a waste of time', and 'fastest growing' instead of 'fastest-growing' or 'rapid growth'. To achieve a higher band, you need to demonstrate a wider range of vocabulary, use less common lexical items with precision, and pay closer attention to word formation and spelling.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
Your response sits at this level because it demonstrates a very limited range of sentence structures, and errors are frequent throughout the text. There are numerous basic grammatical inaccuracies, including problems with articles, subject-verb agreement, and prepositions. For example, you wrote 'the some people asked the advertising is hardly achievable to persuading the people', which contains several glaring errors in clause structure and verb patterns. Similarly, 'they don't need of things' misuses the preposition. To improve your grammar score, you must practise forming accurate simple and complex sentences, avoid frequent interference from translation, and ensure better control over basic grammatical forms.
