Student answer (Band 5.0)
Many indiviuals believed that advertisement play important role in term of sealing goods to end consumer. Meanwhile, other people discussed it could be not essential to run busineses. In my opinion, advertisement help achieved organisational targets and essential for economic growth. On the other hand, it contain huge cost and less effective for existing products.
On the first hand, advertisement is essential for achiving companies targets. it helps organisation proper utilisation of resources like land, labour, capital and raw materials. Furthermore, they can helps to reach customers at world level, that is must for economical growth. For example, with the help of billboards, templets and poster companies convey the messeage of exhibition about particular products to exhibitors at large extent. As results they reached to place at large extent and help in achiving organisational targets.
In contrast, many people have different side towards the advertisement they think it is less effetive for exisiting products. In general life people visit to exhibitions to find new categories products but seller are manily focused on increasing the sale of existing products. Hence, sale personals thinks that it invoves unnecessary cost. Instid of conducting exhibhition, employer should focused on providing quality services to end customers owing to achieved the target and make new customers in the market.
In conclusion, no doubt advertisement help in achieving the targets but also contribute in economical growth by selling products at global level. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
The response addresses the prompt partially, discussing both the success and ubiquity of advertising alongside a personal opinion, which places it at this level. However, the development of ideas is limited and somewhat repetitive. For instance, the discussion on the first view mentions that advertisements help achieve organisational targets and resource utilisation, but these points are under-developed and lack clear, extended explanation. The position is discernible in the introduction and conclusion, but the reasoning throughout the body paragraphs relies on sweeping assertions rather than fully elaborated arguments. To reach the next level, the writer needs to present a more fully developed position with well-supported ideas that explore both perspectives in greater depth without relying on vague generalisations.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is a clear overall organisation with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, and paragraphing is used to separate distinct points. However, the progression of ideas lacks complete clarity, resulting in an overall structure that feels somewhat disjointed. Cohesive devices are used, but they are often mechanical, repetitive, or inaccurate, such as the awkward transitions "On the first hand" and "In contrast, many people have different side towards the advertisement." Referencing is also occasionally unclear, making it hard to follow the exact logical thread between sentences. To improve, the writer should ensure that cohesive devices are used more naturally and that the logical link between paragraphs and sentences is smoother and more transparent.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task, demonstrating an attempt to discuss business concepts with terms like "organisational targets" and "economical growth." However, there are noticeable errors in word choice, spelling, and word form throughout the text, such as "indiviuals," "busineses," "achived," "templets" (templates), "messeage," "effetive," "sale personals" (sales personnel), "invoves," and "Instid." These lexical inaccuracies and spelling slips cause some difficulty for the reader and impede smooth communication. To achieve a higher band, the writer must expand their lexical range, demonstrate better control over word formation and spelling, and use less common vocabulary more accurately and naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer uses a limited range of sentence structures, and attempts at more complex sentences are frequently faulty. There are persistent, frequent errors in basic grammar, verb forms, agreement, and articles. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues like "advertisement play important role," missing articles such as "in term of sealing goods," and awkward prepositions or tense usage like "employer should focused on providing quality services... owing to achieved the target." These frequent grammatical errors place significant strain on the reader and obscure the intended meaning in several places. To progress, the writer needs to increase their control over basic sentence patterns, ensure correct verb forms and subject-verb agreement, and reduce the frequency of structural errors.
