Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays, advertisement of a product is very useful for organization because it play's important role in consumption of products. Some people believe that individuals buy product by thier attractive ads while others think that advertisement are now common to everyone and no one is persuaded from it to buy products. This essay will cover both perspectives and also my opinion.

On the one hand, according to some people view advertising is very successful because it convince people to buy products. For intance, people buy those items which actually they don't need. In the advertisement they use some techniques which attract mind to buy these products.Furthermore, they spend a lot of money on ads because people especially young generation are peursuaded by it. Advertisement cintains the detailed about the products like specifications, merits

etc. So, there is no need to contact organization to ask merits of that products.

On the other hand, many of people believes that advertisement are now common to everyone and individuals don't consider them. One reason is this, advertisement are most of the time fake and time wasting. When the products is delivered it's totally different from the advertised products that's why most of the people dont trust them. Another reason is this, people are aware of such type of problems. They are used to with this that's why they dont consider them. For example, in my country when people buy something from the reference of ads most of the time they are not useful. Consequently, it waste time and money and cause frustation.

Taking everything into consideration, both views has strong arguments but i believe that advertising is very useful technique which pursuade many people to

buy items. If a company pay more on thire advertisement so there is high chances of product consumption.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views on advertising and providing a personal opinion in the introduction and conclusion. However, the ideas are presented in a limited and somewhat repetitive manner, which places the response at this level. For instance, the discussion on why people buy things due to ads points out that they buy items they do not need and that ads contain specifications, but these points remain under-developed without strong supporting elaboration. Similarly, the counter-argument regarding fake ads and time wasting is raised, but the explanation lacks depth. The position is stated, but the overall development of ideas is restricted, preventing a higher evaluation.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response demonstrates a coherent overall arrangement with clear paragraphing, separating the introduction, the two body paragraphs representing different views, and the conclusion. Cohesive devices are used to structure the text, such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'Taking everything into consideration'. However, cohesion is at times mechanical or faulty. For example, referencing is occasionally unclear, and transitions between sentences can feel abrupt, such as shifting abruptly from mentioning young generations being persuaded to the details contained in advertisements without a smooth link. Paragraphing is used sufficiently and appropriately, but the logical progression within paragraphs needs more finesse.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited but minimally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to communicate basic ideas about advertising and consumer habits. There are noticeable errors in word choice, word form, and spelling that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. Examples include spelling mistakes like 'thier', 'peursuaded', 'cintains', 'frustation', and awkward phrasing such as 'from the reference of ads' or 'pay more on thire advertisement'. The student attempts some less common vocabulary such as 'specifications', 'consumption', and 'persuading', but inaccuracies in collocation and form prevent a higher score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response shows a limited range of structures, relying mostly on simple sentences alongside a few basic attempts at complex forms. There are frequent errors in grammar, punctuation, and article usage which can cause some difficulty for the reader. Examples of grammatical lapses include subject-verb agreement issues ('advertisement ... play's', 'advertisement are now common', 'both views has'), missing articles ('when products is delivered'), and awkward prepositional or clause patterns ('They are used to with this'). Punctuation errors, such as missing spaces after periods and commas, are also present throughout the text, reflecting a restricted control over grammatical mechanics.
