Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both views and give a clear concluding position: advertising can still influence people, but its effect depends on how relevant and trustworthy it is. The examples about targeted adverts and a teenager seeing phone advertisements are relevant, while the opposing view includes repeated exposure and consumers comparing reviews and prices. However, these points are only briefly explained, and the discussion of why advertising may no longer attract attention is less developed than the first view. The response also falls 32 words short of the required minimum, which limits the space available to explain and support your ideas. Develop each side with a fuller explanation and a specific example before concluding.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. The contrast between the two main arguments is easy to follow, and linking phrases such as “Moreover,” “On the other hand,” and “To conclude” help signal the stages of the discussion. However, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “According to that big brand's advertise their product” does not clearly show how the preceding point leads to the next, and “Moreover, Nowdays advertising become common to” interrupts the flow. Improve progression by making each paragraph’s main point explicit and linking supporting explanations directly to it. Consistent paragraphing and clearer references would make the argument smoother.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “advertisement,” “consumer,” “reviews,” “compare prices,” and “influence,” so the reader can understand the main ideas. There are also attempts at more specific language, such as “repeatedly sees advertisement” and “trustworty.” However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or spellings make parts difficult to interpret, including “sawing them,” “big bang sale,” and “bilborad.” Repetition of “people,” “advertising,” and “buy” also restricts flexibility. Aim for accurate collocations and a wider set of terms, such as “targeted advertising,” “purchase decisions,” and “ignore or skip adverts.” Proofread spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a reason clause in “because people may use to it” and a relative clause in “A teenager who repeatedly sees advertisement for new phone.” These attempts show some range, but control is inconsistent, and errors often make sentences awkward or unclear. Examples include “It is often argue,” “it create a desire,” “people does not pay attention,” and “advertising has a still strong influence.” There are also problems with articles, plurals, agreement, and sentence boundaries. Practise forming accurate subject–verb combinations and checking articles and plural nouns; for example, “advertising creates desire” and “people do not pay attention.” More reliable sentence control will help your ideas come across clearly.
