Student answer (Band 4.0)

some people think that advertising is extremely successfull at persuading us to buy things. The othere hand people think that advertising is so sommon that we no longer pay attention to it . I agree in this statement and both have its own advantages and disadvantages and I dicussed the both conditions.

I agree in this statement that many people think that the advertising is extremely sucessful to buy things. Advertising is good thing to sall their product we adverties the product in different kind such as ads, poster, tatorels and etc. So many people buy there product in this way and gain in this process many people visited your things.

On the other side some people think that the advertising is so common that we no longer attention to it. This statement is ture but many people in over country buy advertising things because then advertising product so its discussed the adventages and disadvantages in this product so it is beater to advertising the product.

In over country the advertising is common so people did not attention in its burt mostly people buy the advertising product. If advertising the product many people buy this thing in this way and people buy the product more then more.

My opinion is that advertising is extremely successful at persuading us to buy things and in this way your things is famouse in the world and then you earn the good money in this process and if advertising product you sall the more then more things in this way.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5

You state a clear preference in the final paragraph: advertising is “extremely successful at persuading us to buy things.” You also refer to both views, including the idea that advertising is so common that people stop noticing it. However, the discussion is very limited: the supporting points mostly repeat that people buy advertised products, and the opposing view is acknowledged but not explained with a specific reason or example. The opening also says “I agree in this statement” without clearly identifying which view you agree with. The response is 229 words, below the 250-word minimum; the 27 words copied from the task prompt are not counted. Develop each view with a distinct explanation and example, then state your position clearly from the introduction onward.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has a basic paragraph structure: an introduction, paragraphs referring to each view, and a final paragraph giving your opinion. Phrases such as “On the other side” and “My opinion is” help signal changes in focus. However, progression is weak because the same point—that people buy advertised products—is repeated in several paragraphs, and the contrast between the two views is not clearly developed. Some links are difficult to follow, as in “so its discussed the adventages and disadvantages in this product.” Use each paragraph for one clear purpose, connect ideas with more precise references, and avoid repeating the same claim in the conclusion and body.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.0

You use some task-related vocabulary, including “advertising,” “product,” “persuading,” and “advantages and disadvantages,” so the general topic is identifiable. However, the vocabulary is basic and highly repetitive, especially the repeated use of “product,” “buy,” and “advertising.” Several spelling errors, such as “successfull,” “sommon,” “famouse,” and “sall,” reduce accuracy. Some expressions are also unclear or unnatural, including “many people visited your things” and “advertising things.” Build a more varied set of accurate terms for the topic, such as “consumers,” “purchase,” and “promote,” and check spelling and collocations before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You mainly use simple statements and make some attempts to connect clauses with “and,” “but,” and “because.” This gives the response a basic sentence framework, and the main opinion can be understood. However, sentence structures are repetitive, and errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence construction often make ideas unclear. For example, “many people visited your things” has an unclear subject and verb choice, while “it is beater to advertising the product” does not form a correct grammatical pattern. There are also run-on constructions, such as the long final sentence beginning “My opinion is.” Practise accurate simple sentences first, then combine them using controlled subordinate clauses and check subject–verb agreement and verb forms.
