Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both views: the opening says advertising can persuade people, while the later paragraph argues that its prevalence and the shift to social media reduce attention to traditional displays. Your own position is also present in the claim that advertising still catches attention. However, the discussion is uneven and some points are difficult to interpret. The examples of emotional marketing and city displays support persuasion, but the opposing view is mainly asserted through people being busy on their phones, without explaining when or why advertising is ignored. The school example is unclear and does not clearly support either view. Develop each side with a specific, explained example and state your position more directly in the conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an introduction, separate paragraphs for supporting ideas, and a conclusion, so there is some organisation. The movement from visual advertising to emotional marketing, then to online promotion, gives the reader a basic sense of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is often unclear: the school example appears abruptly after the discussion of psychological marketing, and its connection is not explained. Linking phrases such as “According to” and “For instance” are repeated or do not establish a clear relationship between ideas. The conclusion also repeats the general position rather than bringing the two views together. Group related points more carefully, use clear topic sentences, and explain how each example supports the paragraph’s main idea.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt topic-specific vocabulary, including “emotional marketing,” “psychological traits,” “online promotions,” and “influencers,” which helps convey the subject. However, the range is limited by repeated general words such as “products,” “people,” and “successful,” and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to read, for example “untroduce,” “commomn,” “disply,” and “ackowledge.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “color scheming” and “put mental impresion on them.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms for advertising methods and audience responses would help you express the ideas with greater clarity and flexibility.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both short statements and some longer structures, including a conditional-style explanation beginning “As advertising become so commomn now a days” and a sentence introduced by “although.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and punctuation frequently interrupt the flow. Examples include “it still catch the attention,” “the industries which use … are far more successful,” and “because it don't drag people.” Several sentences run together without appropriate spacing or punctuation, such as the opening and the conclusion. Practise forming complete sentences and checking subject–verb agreement, pronouns, and verb forms. Use a few well-controlled complex sentences rather than joining several ideas without clear grammatical links.
