Student answer (Band 4.5)
It is often argued that, some people think that advertisement is best idea to selll your things and advertisement is forcing the persons to buy things.
Some say all companies were doing advertisement to bring their product to coustomers, although advertising is common nowadays indivduals no longer give attention to advertisement.
As an overview, advertisement persuade the world to buy things. In this contemprary era everyone is launching his brand some wants to start perfume brand, cloth brand, shoe brand. Advetisement really attract the coustomers towards the brand, it is one thing to give you knowledge about the upcoming product it also helps to know you about new product and keep updated you which product is trending in world you can learn by advertisement. By this you will be known by offers of festival on product, you can also be known by discount offers.
On the other hand, people think that advertising are common in world what we known by advertisement, what is the use of advertisement, advertisement is wastage of time, advertisement encorages people to buy products. In these days people do not pay attention to advertisemet, they skip the advertisements because everyone wants to launch his own brand by his name so they do not see others advertisement. They keep focuisng on themselves to achieve success.
In my opinion advertisement does no persuade people to buy their product its your choice to buy or not, those who do not pay attention to advertisement that is there wish, advertisements are raising day by day.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
The response recognises both views: advertising can attract customers and provide information about products and discounts, while people may skip it because it is so widespread. You also give a personal position, saying that buying remains an individual choice. However, the discussion is only minimally developed. The first view is supported mainly by a list of product types and benefits, and the opposing view is repeated rather than explained with a clear reason or example. Your position also shifts: you first say advertising persuades people, then conclude that it does not. Make your opinion consistent and explain how advertising can influence choices even when consumers retain the final decision.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is a basic overall structure: an opening, a paragraph about advertising’s influence, a contrasting paragraph, and a concluding opinion. Phrases such as “On the other hand” help signal the change in viewpoint. However, ideas within paragraphs are often loosely connected, and the opening repeats the same point about advertising in several forms. The conclusion introduces a position that conflicts with the earlier claim that advertising attracts customers, so the progression is difficult to follow. Some links, such as “By this” and “those who do not pay attention,” do not clearly identify the idea they refer to. Organise each paragraph around one main claim, then connect it to a specific explanation or example.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “advertisement,” “product,” “brand,” “discount,” and “trending,” so the reader can understand the general subject. However, the vocabulary is basic and highly repetitive, especially the repeated use of “advertisement” and “buy things.” Several spelling errors, including “coustomers,” “indivduals,” and “advertisemet,” also reduce accuracy. Some expressions are unclear or unnatural, such as “keep updated you” and “known by offers of festival.” Build a more varied set of accurate phrases for discussing consumer behaviour and advertising, and check spelling and collocations carefully. More precise wording would help distinguish persuasion, awareness, and deliberate avoidance.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response attempts some longer sentences, for example the sentence beginning “In this contemporary era,” and uses a contrastive structure with “although.” However, sentence forms are mostly simple or joined with commas, and frequent errors sometimes make relationships between ideas unclear. Examples include “advertisement persuade,” “advertising are common,” and “its your choice,” where agreement or verb forms are inaccurate. Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention: “advertisement is best idea” lacks an article, while several sentences run together without clear punctuation. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles, and complete sentence boundaries first; then use a wider range of controlled complex structures to explain causes and contrasts.
