Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both views: advertising can help producers promote products, while repeated exposure may pressure people into buying things they do not need. You also give a position, arguing that advertising can be beneficial when used responsibly. However, the discussion remains general and the ideas are only briefly explained. For example, the claim that advertising helps people “financially” is not clarified, and the point about misleading products would be stronger with a specific example or explanation of how consumers are affected. Your opinion is present, but it is repeated rather than developed into a clear conclusion. Explain each view more fully and make your final judgement explicit.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The response follows a basic sequence: it introduces the debate, presents arguments on both sides, and gives your opinion. Connectors such as “on the other hand” and “I think” help signal these shifts. However, the ideas are presented in one long block, so the reader cannot easily distinguish the discussion of each view from your conclusion. Several points also repeat, particularly the idea that advertising should be used with “responsibility and accountability.” Some links between ideas are unclear, and the final sentence does not provide a distinct, well-shaped conclusion. Use separate paragraphs for the two views and your opinion, and make each paragraph progress from a main point to its explanation.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “promote,” “pressured,” “marketing idea,” and “accountability,” so the main subject is clear. However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “product,” “advertising,” and “good way.” Some choices are imprecise or awkward, such as “make people fool themselves” and “advertising allow producer,” which can make the intended meaning less clear. Spelling errors such as “responsiblity” and “miss use” also affect accuracy. Build a wider set of topic-specific expressions and check spelling and collocations; for instance, describe consumers as being “misled” rather than saying they “fool themselves.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to connect ideas in longer sentences, including the contrast beginning “but on the other hand,” and you use conditional forms in “if we use any platform in a right way.” However, the range of sentence structures is limited, and errors are frequent enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. Examples include “Advertising allow producer,” “some other people thinks,” and “it will helps,” where subject–verb agreement is incorrect. The sentence beginning “because it can make people to feel buying” also has a faulty verb pattern. Punctuation is inconsistent, with missing sentence boundaries and spaces before full stops. Practise accurate simple sentences first, then build longer sentences with controlled clauses.
