Student answer (Band 5.0)

It s often argued that , advertisment plays a crucial role in buying habits, while some observer believe that advertisment are easy-going therefore it will loss the mass interest in a mean time. This essay will discuss both of these views but In my perspective advertisment is a very significant factor in our economy and individuals buying tendencies.

On the other hand, some advertisments are inconvenient due to large frequency, they normally emerge on any videos or social networking sites therefore when people give attention on other things they may be measured that as irrelevant by having this negative approach people sometimes minmized ads on these platfrom and the selling companies are no longer can give assements for any product to their consumer. The other major thing is that sometimes becoming common can reduce the attraction of rich personalities as a result they

can stop the adding system from their social platfroms.

On behalf of the progress of econmical benefits of advertisment, these ads alaways provide

description of household appliances hence when woman are wachting them, they can be influenced by the shown items and their buying tendency will be in a peaked position. Additionally students buy educational materials online by seeing informative advertidments. Therefore it is clear that advertisments are beneficital for the financial conditions. It can also

make global market through advertisments of goods on e-commerce sites.

Even tough, there is a controversial issue about the advertisment of products some people think that

they are very advantageous, whereas others believe that advertisment will loose attention and

it will face a decline in future.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both views: the first main paragraph explains that frequent ads may be ignored, while the next gives examples of ads influencing purchases and supporting online markets. Your opening also states a position in favour of advertising. However, the discussion is only partially developed. The point about people minimizing ads is not clearly connected to the claim that advertising has become too common, and the reference to “rich personalities” stopping ads on social platforms is difficult to interpret. The final paragraph mostly repeats the two views rather than drawing together your argument. To strengthen the response, explain each view with a clear cause-and-effect example and end with a direct conclusion that reinforces your own opinion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a concluding paragraph, so the reader can identify its broad structure. You also use signposts such as “On the other hand,” “Additionally,” and “Therefore.” However, progression within paragraphs is uneven: the discussion moves from irrelevant ads to companies’ assessments and then to rich personalities without making the links clear. “On behalf of the progress” does not introduce the second view naturally, and the final paragraph repeats earlier points instead of concluding the reasoning. Some references, including “they” and “that,” are unclear. Organise each body paragraph around one main claim, then explain and illustrate it; use linking expressions only where they accurately show the relationship between ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt topic-related vocabulary, including “buying habits,” “social networking sites,” “household appliances,” and “e-commerce sites,” which helps communicate the subject. There are also attempts at less common expressions, such as “crucial role” and “financial conditions.” However, the range is limited by repeated use of “advertisment(s)” and several inaccurate or unclear choices, including “easy-going,” “peaked position,” and “adding system.” Frequent spelling errors such as “minmized,” “platfrom,” and “beneficital” also make the reader work to understand some points. Build a reliable set of collocations for advertising and consumer behaviour, and check spelling and word forms carefully. Prefer precise, familiar wording over expressions whose meaning is uncertain.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “while,” “therefore,” and “as a result.” This shows an effort to express relationships between ideas. However, the range is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty. For example, “some observer believe” has a subject–verb agreement error, while “advertisment are” and “companies are no longer can give” show problems with agreement and verb construction. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in the long sentence beginning “On the other hand.” Articles and plural forms are frequently omitted or inaccurate. Practise building shorter, complete sentences first, then combine them with one clear subordinate clause; proofread agreement, verb forms, articles, and punctuation.
