Some people say that advertising is extremely successful at persuading us to buy things. Other people think that advertising is so common that we no longer pay attention to it. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

In the contemporary era, the question of whether advertising is very popular in some nations from yields long-term benefits has sparked intense global debate. While there are valid arguments on both sides, I firmly believe that the positive impacts of this trend far outweigh its drawbacks. This essay will discuss both dimensions to support my perspective.

To begin with, the primary reason behind my stance involves the positive impact of this trend on society. People usually watch adds on their devices. This is mainly because dwellers are aware about products which are exist in market and very helpful because some people are depend on social-media so its merit for folks to find low price product in good quality. For instance, recent research indicates that advertising play a siggnificant part in socity become to awareness. Consequently, it is evident that this approach brings significant advantages to people.

Furthermore, another crucial dimension to consider is the economic perspective of this issue. medical feild because people have no idea about good treatment but advertising helps to find benificial doctor, aswellas high-tech hosipitals . In other words, when individuals or governments support this practice, it directly enhances overall productivity. Therefore, this paradigm shift proves to be highly beneficial in the long run.

In conclusion, after comprehensively analyzing both viewpoints, I reiterate that the socio-economic benefits associated with this development far outweigh the minor downsides. Looking ahead, it is highly recommended that relevant authorities take proactive measures to optimize this trend for the collective welfare.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

The response has a general position in favour of advertising, but it does not adequately discuss the two views in the question. The body paragraphs focus on advertising’s supposed benefits for finding inexpensive products and medical services, rather than explaining both how advertising persuades people to buy and how its ubiquity can make people ignore it. The opening also refers to whether advertising is popular “in some nations” and “long-term benefits,” which does not accurately frame the stated debate. Examples such as “recent research” are asserted without detail, and the conclusion repeats a benefits-focused position without addressing the opposing view. To improve, state your view in relation to both sides and develop one relevant reason and example for each perspective.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The essay has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “To begin with,” “Furthermore” and “In conclusion” make the intended structure visible. However, the ideas do not progress clearly: the first body paragraph moves from device use to product prices, while the second begins abruptly with “medical feild” and does not explain its connection to the preceding point. Several linking phrases, including “Consequently” and “Therefore,” announce conclusions that have not been established by the preceding explanation. The repeated references to “this trend,” “this approach” and “this practice” are also unclear because the central issue shifts. Organise each paragraph around one explicit view, then connect its explanation and example directly.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

There is an attempt to use a range of formal expressions, including “contemporary era,” “socio-economic benefits” and “proactive measures.” However, vocabulary is often inaccurate or unnatural, and some spelling errors make the meaning harder to follow: “adds,” “siggnificant,” “socity,” “feild,” “benificial” and “hosipitals.” Phrases such as “dwellers are aware about products” and “this paradigm shift” do not fit the ideas being expressed. The repeated use of broad terms such as “trend,” “approach” and “beneficial” also limits precision. Choose vocabulary that directly describes advertising and consumer behaviour, check spelling carefully, and use collocations such as “raise awareness of products” or “influence purchasing decisions.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response attempts some complex sentence forms, for example, “This is mainly because…” and “when individuals or governments support this practice…,” and the overall paragraph structure is apparent. However, grammatical errors are frequent, and several sentences are difficult to interpret. Examples include “products which are exist in market,” “some people are depend,” and “advertising play,” where verb forms and agreement are faulty. The sentence beginning “medical feild because…” is incomplete, while “aswellas high-tech hosipitals” is not integrated into a complete grammatical structure. Articles and prepositions are also often missing or incorrect. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check agreement, articles and punctuation before adding more complex clauses.
