Student answer (Band 4.5)

The statement describe some people say advertising is extremely successful for buying things and other people think advertising is so common we do not most focus on it. I agree with first point of this statement.

I think advertising is a good habit because every one who start business his first step is advertised his business. It is true in this centurie advertising with penaflexies and news paper is so common because of busy life every one use internet so people do not read news paper and do not saw pictured that are stuck on the walls. People think their time is vaste if they read newspaper. So mostly people use their mobile for getting news.

And also because of busy life people spent most of their time for useful activitie. So advertisement is right way to interduesed our business and people they do not know about new thinks the reson of advertiesment they informed it and buy product.

In my openion, advertising is mostly better for villagers people becauce they are far away from cities so they do not know about any new think opening

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You state a clear preference for the view that advertising persuades people to buy, and you offer relevant points about businesses promoting themselves and advertisements informing people about new products. However, the task asks you to discuss both views, and the second view—that advertising is so widespread that people ignore it—is only touched on through comments about newspapers and busy lives, without explaining how advertising saturation reduces its impact. Your own opinion is also not fully supported, and the final point about villagers is unfinished. The response is 186 words, below the required 250, which limits the opportunity to develop the discussion. Address each view directly, then support your position with a complete example and explanation.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The response has a basic paragraph structure: an introduction, points about advertising and modern media, and a final paragraph beginning with your opinion. Some progression is visible, particularly from busy lifestyles to the use of mobile phones. However, the relationship between ideas is often unclear. For example, the paragraph moves from newspapers being ignored to people using mobiles, but does not explain whether online advertising is also ignored or remains persuasive. Connectors such as “And also” and repeated uses of “So” do not clearly show how the points relate. The final sentence stops before completing its idea, which weakens the ending. Use a separate paragraph for each viewpoint and link each claim to its explanation or example.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some task-related vocabulary, including “advertising,” “business,” “newspaper,” “villagers,” and “product,” so the main topic is generally recognisable. However, the range is basic and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to understand, such as “penaflexies,” “interduesed,” “new thinks,” and “the reson of advertiesment they informed it.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “advertising is a good habit” and “advertising is mostly better for villagers people.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms such as “promote a business,” “reach potential customers,” and “advertising campaigns” would help you express the ideas more clearly and avoid repeating the same general vocabulary.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a reason clause beginning “because” and a sentence starting “So,” but control is inconsistent. Errors in verb forms and agreement appear in “The statement describe,” “every one who start business,” and “people spent most of their time.” Articles and sentence construction are also problematic, as in “every one who start business his first step is advertised his business.” The final sentence, “they are far away from cities so they do not know about any new think opening,” is incomplete in meaning and lacks clear grammatical relationships. These errors frequently make the reader work to interpret your points. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check agreement, articles, and punctuation.
