Some people say that advertising is extremely successful at persuading us to buy things. Other people think that advertising is so common that we no longer pay attention to it. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
In recent years, technology has developed so much in every aspect and also play a crucial role in advertisments and campaigns, while certain individuals opine that advertisments are now motivating the people to buy random products and it has successfully completed their agenda. However, others argue that advertising is unimportant for us we are no longer pay attention towards it. This trend has both advantages and disadvantages. Let us fruther delve into the topic.
To begin with, how advertisments are persuading people to buy the new products because they are spreading their effects all around the world and they can eaisly grab your attention, even when you are not paying attention towards it. You can see the advertisments everywhere when you are using the internet or watching any show on the telivision. However, one-fourth of the time of the movie has used to show the advertisments which are very appealing and intresting. It also grab all your attention and leave a thought inside your brain about the product and idea is striking again and again in your mind and it motivates you to buy the product.
On the other hand, some people argue that it completely depends upon your intrest that what you have to buy or not because most of the time we don't even pay attention towards the addvertisment because they are very common nowadays. Also, some individuals buy add-free subscruption to save time and avoid the unwanted advertisments. Furthermore, younger generation is ver smart enough to do shopping wisely.
In conculsion, I agree with the viewpoint that advertisment and campaign is very important for sell of their product and the growth of their businesses. Although, people have to make sure that where they are spending their hard money it is worth it or not.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both views: the first body paragraph explains how repeated exposure on the internet and television can attract attention and encourage purchases, while the second gives reasons people may ignore adverts, including their prevalence and ad-free subscriptions. Your conclusion also indicates a preference for the view that advertising supports sales. However, the discussion is only partly developed. The claim that adverts occupy “one-fourth of the time of the movie” is not explained or qualified, and the opposing view is supported mainly by general statements rather than a clear example of how people resist persuasion. Your position is also not fully consistent: the introduction presents both sides without stating your view, while the conclusion says advertising is important but does not directly resolve whether it persuades people or is ignored. State your opinion clearly and support each view with more precise reasoning.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Transitions such as “To begin with,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the change in perspective. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes mechanical or unclear. In the first body paragraph, several ideas about adverts being widespread, appearing during films, attracting attention, and prompting purchases are joined in a long sequence without clear development. The phrase “This trend has both advantages and disadvantages” also does not accurately preview the discussion, which presents contrasting opinions. Some references, such as “it” and “they,” have unclear antecedents. Group related points more deliberately, use clearer links between cause and effect, and make the introduction’s roadmap match the essay.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “persuading,” “products,” “advertising,” “campaigns,” and “ad-free subscription,” and you attempt some less common expressions such as “grab your attention.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which makes parts of the response less natural. Examples include “completed their agenda” for achieving an advertising aim, “hard money” for money that is difficult to earn, and “important for sell of their product.” Spelling errors are also noticeable, including “advertisments,” “eaisly,” and “conculsion.” These do not prevent the main message from being understood, but they reduce precision. Build a bank of accurate topic collocations and proofread spelling and word forms before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a contrastive opening with “while” and a conditional idea beginning “Although.” However, complex structures are often not controlled successfully, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “technology has developed … and also play” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “we are no longer pay attention” uses an incorrect verb form. The sentence beginning “However, one-fourth of the time…” is also structurally unclear, and “It also grab all your attention” has an agreement error. Punctuation and sentence boundaries need attention, particularly where several clauses are joined together. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, verb patterns after auxiliaries, and shorter sentence construction before adding more complex clauses.
