Student answer (Band 5.5)
There is ongoing debate regarding advertisement. There are divided opinions. A group of people argued that advertising is very successful at making us think on buying things; however, other are counterclaim that now-a-days advertising is so common that no one pay attention to it. Prior to my stance both the viewpoints will be discussed in the upcoming paragraphs with valid reasons and appropriate examples.
Discussing the former view, supporters believe that by advertising the product more people get to know about that product. As a result, more folks will buy it. For example, recently in a newspaper some research is given that with the help of advertisment, amul dairy products are sold more in that market. Moreover, advertisment give more knowledge about the products mainly their positives such as harpic bothroom cleaner they tell all the advantages of the product in some seconds, this thing remains in denizens mind and while shopping they gave it more preference from other because they do not now about other products.
On the other hand, proponents belive that advertisment is boring now no one want to se the adds in newly days masses pays money to skip the advertisment. As an exmaple, on spotify and youtube a lot of advertisment came and break the flow of wathers and lisners so denizens do not want to se advertisment at all. Additionally, before people use to look at advertising but now citizens are busy with their phone that they ignore advertisment now. Example before there are lot of advertising posters on shops and busses, while travelling populance used to see many advertisment but now no one have intreset in it, as a result natives are not paying attention to it.
To recapitulate, and offer my position, I support former view advertising is important and make population look for it although, a multitude of individuals buy products from advertisment, In addition, advertisment plays a substantial role in selling a product.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both views and state a preference for the first, so the response is relevant to the task. The first body paragraph explains that advertising raises awareness and gives examples involving Amul and Harpic; the second discusses people skipping online adverts and ignoring posters. However, the position is not fully clear or consistently developed: the introduction postpones your stance, and the conclusion says advertising makes people “look for it” without explaining this claim. Some support is also vague, such as the reference to “some research” in a newspaper, and the examples are not clearly connected to evidence of persuasion. Develop each view with a specific explanation and make your own opinion explicit and consistent throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Phrases such as “On the other hand” help signal the change in viewpoint, and examples are generally placed alongside the relevant argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because several claims are joined together without clear relationships. For instance, the Harpic example moves from product advantages to what consumers remember and then to choosing it over alternatives in one long sentence. Linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “Additionally,” and “As a result” are used, but some connections feel repetitive or imprecise. Organise each paragraph around one main point, then explain and illustrate it in a clearer sequence, using referencing that makes the links between ideas explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “advertising,” “preference,” “advantages,” and “substantial role,” and you attempt less common terms such as “proponents.” However, the range is limited by repeated use of “advertisment” and “product,” while several choices are inaccurate or unnatural, including “think on buying,” “denizens,” and “masses pays money.” Spelling errors such as “belive,” “exmaple,” and “intreset” are noticeable and can distract the reader. Some phrases also make the intended meaning harder to understand, particularly “make population look for it.” Build a more accurate set of collocations for discussing consumer behaviour and media, and check spelling and word forms carefully before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a contrast introduced by “however” and a cause-and-effect structure beginning “As a result.” Nevertheless, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make parts of the response difficult to read. Examples include “other are counterclaim,” “no one pay attention,” and “advertisment give,” where agreement or verb forms are incorrect. Tense and sentence construction are also inconsistent in “before people use to look” and “before there are lot of advertising posters.” Punctuation is sometimes missing or misused, especially where long clauses are joined. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, past and present forms, articles, and sentence boundaries; shorter, controlled sentences would improve clarity while you build range.
