Student answer (Band 5.0)
A minority of people state that advertising is extremely successful at persuading us to buy things. while remaining mention that Publicity is so common that we no longer pay attention to it , I firmly believe that both individuals can be right in there own perspective, Although in my opinion it depends on the platform.
One major reasons for making advertising That much successful at persuading us to buy things is because of platform as it is very important where ads is being advertise if its TV then defiantly we don't have any option to skip, which can lead to buy the products which is being advertises. Moreover if a ads is launch on social media we don't pay attention to it as it is skip able. For instance, we are watching reels or scrolling social media and suddenly a Commercial appears individuals typically skip it as they continue with reels and entertainment. Therefore, platform is very vital for promo to be Initiate.
Another important factor is that Model, location, and story telling. Although story telling can be done good in social media ads, But in TV commercial they have better location and famous model who have a experiences primarily in acting. For example, A company have to shoot a promo for beauty product and if they shoot with a influencer who have thousand of follower after giving her a opportunity she will goanna gain like and follower not company. On the other hand with the shoot same thing with a famous star and launch it in TV the result will be entirely opposite. As a result company will get a sales growth product will be beautifully Pitch to individuals.
In conclusion, although social media is so common that we no longer pay attention to it , I am convinced that by selecting good actor, Location, and story, advertising can be extremely successful at persuading us to buy things.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both views and give a position: you argue that advertising’s effectiveness depends on the platform, and your conclusion restates that good actors, locations and stories can persuade consumers. However, the discussion only partially answers the contrast in the prompt. The first body paragraph suggests television ads cannot be skipped but social-media ads can, while the second shifts to the influence of celebrities and production quality; the connection between these points and whether people pay attention to advertising is not always clear. The examples are relevant, but claims such as a company gaining sales from a famous star are asserted rather than explained or supported. Develop each view more directly and clarify your position throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has a recognisable introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “Moreover,” “For instance” and “In conclusion” help show the intended structure. However, progression within the paragraphs is uneven: the first moves from television to social media, while the second introduces storytelling, locations and models without clearly linking these factors to the central question of attention and persuasion. Some linking is mechanical or confusing, particularly “Therefore, platform is very vital” and “On the other hand with the shoot same thing.” References such as “they” and “the result” are not always clear. To improve, organise each paragraph around one main claim, explain how the example supports it, and use linking phrases only where the relationship between ideas is precise.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to advertising, including “persuading,” “commercial,” “influencer,” “famous star” and “sales growth.” This gives you enough language to communicate the general topic. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or awkward, sometimes making the intended meaning harder to follow. Examples include “promo to be Initiate,” “beautifully Pitch to individuals” and “gain like and follower.” There are also spelling and word-form problems, such as “defiantly” where the context calls for “definitely,” and inconsistent use of capital letters. Aim to learn common advertising collocations and check spelling and word forms; more precise phrasing will make your ideas clearer and more convincing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses beginning with “Although,” “if” and “which,” but complex structures are often faulty and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to interpret. For example, “One major reasons … is because …” has problems with agreement and sentence construction, while “if a ads is launch” contains errors in articles, agreement and verb form. The sentence beginning “For example, A company have to shoot” also has agreement and tense problems, and several sentences are joined or punctuated unclearly. Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly connected subordinate clause, then check subject–verb agreement, articles and verb forms before adding more complexity.
