Student answer (Band 5.5)
It is argue that some people believe that advertising is successfull at persuading us to buy products and others believe that advertising is so common that we pay no longer attention to it and no effects on us.I think that both sides are true and both have positive and negative effects.
Advertising is very important for new business and to improve business condition. Because the main propose of advertising is to persuade us to buy their products or change our mind about their comapny. In the advance era advertising is very easy on social media by posting some videos or pics. But to much advertising has bad effects on the company.
For example, the good effects of advertising is increment in percentage of selling. On the other hand to much advertising has bad effects. The main effect is loss of money and people becomes start bored
On the other side, now advertising becomes so common that we pay no attention on it and this way advertising has no benefits. Actually, common and to much advertising are bad effect of the advertising scheme. Advertising becomes to common that even we skip it on social media. Now everyman starts advertising of his business through mobile and this causes many negative effects. The main effect of this thing is wastage of our time.
In conclusion, advertising is vey important and it has many good effects on business but to much advertising causes many problems and many negative effects on our business and it is only wastage of money.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You present a relevant overall view—that advertising can help businesses but excessive exposure can have negative effects—and you refer to both sides of the question. However, the discussion is only partly developed. The first view is mainly supported by the general claim that advertising can increase sales, while the second focuses on people skipping adverts and wasted time. These points need clearer explanation and more specific support. Your opinion, “both sides are true,” is stated, but the conclusion mostly repeats the negative effects of excessive advertising rather than clearly weighing the two views. To strengthen the response, explain how advertising can persuade consumers despite its prevalence, then give a more definite, consistently supported judgement about which effect is stronger or when each occurs.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate discussion paragraphs and a conclusion, so the reader can identify the main stages of your argument. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and several ideas are repeated, particularly that too much advertising has negative effects. Linking phrases such as “On the other side” and “On the other hand” help signal contrast, but they do not always connect the points precisely. For example, the paragraph beginning “For example” moves from increased sales to loss of money and boredom without explaining the relationship between them. Organise each body paragraph around one view, develop its explanation and example, and use clearer references so that each sentence follows naturally from the previous one.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the general subject, including “advertising,” “persuade,” “products,” “business” and “negative effects.” However, the range is limited and several expressions are repeated, especially “too much advertising” and “bad effects.” Some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unclear, such as “main propose,” “increment in percentage of selling” and “people becomes start bored,” which make parts of the argument difficult to understand. Spelling errors such as “successfull,” “comapny” and “vey” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise set of phrases for consumer behaviour and business outcomes, and check spelling and word forms carefully. This will help you express familiar ideas more naturally and avoid relying on repeated general terms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
Your response relies mainly on simple sentence patterns, with a few attempts to connect ideas using “because,” “that” and “but.” These attempts show some awareness of complex structures, but they are often faulty: “It is argue that” and “people becomes start bored” have incorrect verb forms, while “we pay no longer attention on it” has an incorrect sentence pattern. There are also problems with agreement and sentence boundaries, as in “the good effects … is increment” and the fragment “Because the main propose of advertising…”. These errors sometimes make the intended meaning harder to follow. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, verb forms and complete sentences first, then add controlled subordinate clauses and contrast structures. Punctuating each sentence clearly will also improve readability.
