Student answer (Band 4.5)
Some people say that advertising is extremely successful at persuading us to buy things. Other people think that advertising is so common that we no longer pay attention to it.
In my point of view, some people say that advertistng is extremely successful at persuading us to buy things. these people are right because social media is going to fast for digitals selling platforms and many business man sell their product throw online advertising. Because the reason is that if they never run their products adds in social apps people never know is this product is worth buying or not in online platfoam throw peolpe purchase things and after use they put reviews on their page where they buy products and if the public satisfied for their shopping they also promote this also these people are also happy because they safe their time. So these peoples are satisfied for it.
On the other hand, other people thought that advertising is so regular that we no longer pay attention to it. these people think about that is not worth it. In my opinion these people are never truly trust and see this like a scam. Because there think is old i think they never know more about digital shopping.
Last but not the least, i am agree for those peoples thought. however i geniune respect for these people who prefer digital shoppings tricks also safe their time. And the other people never respect the short way to get things through digital platfoams.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
The response recognises both views and gives a preference for online advertising, but the discussion is only minimally developed. The first body paragraph explains that social-media adverts help businesses reach customers and that reviews can influence purchases; however, the point is difficult to follow and does not clearly explain how advertising persuades people. The opposing view is reduced to the claim that some people distrust digital shopping, without explaining how advertising’s ubiquity might make people ignore it. Your position is also unclear: you agree with people who favour digital shopping, but the final paragraph says you respect both groups without resolving the comparison. The response is 204 words, so it is 46 words below the 250-word minimum; 47 words copied from the task prompt were not counted. Develop both views and state a consistent opinion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
There is a basic attempt to organise the response: the first main paragraph presents one view, “On the other hand” introduces the opposing view, and a final paragraph gives a conclusion. These signals help the reader identify the intended structure. However, progression within paragraphs is weak, and several ideas are joined without clear relationships. For example, the long sequence beginning “Because the reason is that if they never run their products adds” moves from advertising to product value, reviews, satisfaction and saving time without clear steps. The conclusion also repeats earlier points rather than bringing the discussion together. Use one main idea per paragraph, divide long sentences, and connect each example explicitly to the view it supports.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The response uses some task-related vocabulary, including “advertising,” “social media,” “reviews,” “scam” and “digital shopping,” so the topic is generally identifiable. However, the range is basic and repetitive, and inaccurate word choice or spelling sometimes makes the meaning difficult to understand. Examples include “advertistng,” “products adds,” “digital platfoam” and “digital shoppings tricks.” Phrases such as “people are satisfied for it” and “the public satisfied for their shopping” are also unnatural. Aim for more precise expressions for the two sides of the debate, such as consumers being persuaded by targeted adverts or becoming desensitised to repeated advertising. Check spelling and learn common collocations as complete phrases.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including conditional structures such as “if they never run their products adds in social apps people never know…” This shows an effort to explain cause and effect, but the longer constructions are often difficult to follow because clauses are joined without reliable punctuation or grammatical control. There are also recurring problems with sentence openings and verb forms, as in “these people thought” and “i am agree,” as well as agreement and sentence structure in “people never know is this product is worth buying.” Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent. Practise building accurate short sentences first, then combine them with clear connectors; check subject–verb agreement, question word order and full stops.
