Student answer (Band 5.5)
Advertisment of things is one of the most important process for increasing our goods selling ratio. Some people think that advertisment of things is very simple so we did not need to pay attention on it. But, some say that advertisment is important for growing our business. According to my perspective, advertisent is very beneficial for our business growth. I will explain their views and also my opinion briefly.
According to the views of those people who said that advertisment is not important. They think that it is waste of time. People want to grow their businesses from their own hands. They like to sell their products into market. They believe advertisment did not increase their business because they are less connected to the internet. They do not have much information about the power of social media. They like to sell products by hooting whole the day.
On the other side, some people think that advertisment of goods plays crucial role in their business boost. According to them, if people will advertise their products on the social media it will boost their selling ratio. Nowadays, social media is much more powerful then ever before. Almost everyone is strongly intacted with social media. When someone will saw the add, it will increase about the information.
I absolutey agreed with that, advertisment considerably boost the business. a couple of days ago, my friend posted a picture of bag and information on the social media. On the next day, almost hunderd people ordered the bag by seeing this photo.
To conclude, advertisment is important for marketing. Everybody has different point of view on this topic. But, advertising is crucial and it will considerably boost the selling ratio.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both views and state your position: you argue that advertising benefits business, while describing people who believe it is ineffective. The example of your friend selling bags through a social-media post gives your opinion some support. However, the first view is not represented accurately or fully: the prompt concerns advertising being so common that people stop noticing it, whereas your paragraph mainly says advertising is a waste of time and that some sellers lack internet access. Several claims, such as advertising increasing sales, are asserted rather than explained, and the personal example is brief. Address the saturation argument directly and explain how advertising can still persuade consumers despite its prevalence.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, a personal example, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “On the other side” and “To conclude” help readers follow the broad direction. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the first viewpoint moves from advertising being a waste of time to sellers’ internet access and then to selling “by hooting,” without showing how these points connect. Some linking phrases are mechanical, and references such as “those people” and “that” are not always precise. Organise each body paragraph around one clear reason, then explain and support it before moving to the next point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “social media,” “products,” “marketing,” and “selling ratio,” and you attempt phrases such as “plays crucial role.” However, the range is limited and several repeated or inaccurate expressions make the writing less natural. “Advertising” is misspelled repeatedly as “advertisment,” while “intacted,” “add,” and “selling ratio” are unsuitable or unclear in context. “Hooting whole the day” also does not communicate the intended selling method clearly. These choices sometimes make the reader pause, although the general topic remains understandable. Build a more precise set of collocations for advertising and consumer behaviour, and check spelling and word forms carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including conditional forms such as “if people will advertise their products” and a relative clause in “people who said that.” However, the range is limited, and errors in verb forms, articles, agreement, and sentence construction occur frequently enough to affect clarity. For example, “if people will advertise” should use a present form after “if,” and “When someone will saw the add” combines incompatible verb forms. The opening fragment, “According to the views of those people who said that…,” is also not a complete sentence. Practise accurate conditional patterns and complete sentence structures, then check articles and subject–verb agreement.
