Student answer (Band 5.5)
People argue that increasing trend of product promotions on social media making them force to buy things, while other believe that the trend is become so common that mostly people skip the advertisement without seeing it. In my opinion, the increasing amount of advertisement on social media developing people interest to do unnecessary shopping, however some people just ignore these advertisement.
On one hand, companies and brands are investing a large amount of money to promote their products on social media so they can attract more customers and generate huge revenue. Nowdays people are spending their large share of income on purchasing goods for which are not very useful for them they are just getting deceive by unnecessary advertisement of the products.Furthermore, these promotions persuade younger generations to spent money on useless products which make their parents financially unstable. For instance, after watching advertisement of gaming products children force their parents to buy these prodcuts for them.
On the other hand, the amount of these promotions is become so common that most people skip these promotions without watching. People use social media for intertainment purpose to they do not pay much attention of the promotions which popup during watching any vedios on youtube. Moreover, watching vedios on social platform is become diifcult due to large number of advertisements. For example, the trend of advertisement is become so common that almost every famous personality is being used by brands to promote their products.
In conclusion, although some people ignore advertisements on social media, nevertheless these peomostions are becommon so common that they making great negative impact on people lives.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both views and give a position: the introduction says advertising can encourage unnecessary shopping, while the body also explains that people may skip promotions. The examples about children asking for gaming products and viewers encountering adverts on YouTube are relevant. However, the discussion is only partly developed. The first view is supported with several consequences, but the second mainly says people skip adverts or find videos difficult to watch; it does not clearly explain why advertising may no longer persuade them. Your opinion is also not fully consistent: the introduction says adverts influence people, whereas the conclusion says they are common and have a negative impact without clearly stating which view you consider stronger. Develop both sides more evenly and state your judgement directly.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, separate paragraphs beginning “On one hand” and “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. This makes the two perspectives easy to identify, and examples are placed with the relevant points. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes weakened by unclear links. For example, the sentence about people spending income on goods they do not need runs into the point about younger generations without clear punctuation or explanation. The conclusion also begins “although” and then “nevertheless,” making the relationship between its ideas confusing. Use linking expressions more selectively, make each sentence’s connection to the previous one explicit, and ensure the conclusion follows logically from the position established in the introduction.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “promote their products,” “generate huge revenue,” “unnecessary shopping,” and “financially unstable.” These choices help communicate the main ideas. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “getting deceive,” “force their parents,” “intertainment,” “vedios,” and the unclear final phrase “peomostions are becommon so common.” Repetition of “advertisement,” “promotions,” and “common” also limits precision. Build a wider set of accurate expressions for advertising’s influence and for ignoring adverts, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary would make your arguments clearer and less repetitive.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast between the two views and clauses introduced by “so” and “which.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors in sentence structure and verb forms often make the reader work to understand the meaning. For example, “increasing trend … making them force to buy” lacks a correctly formed main verb, while “the trend is become so common” uses an incorrect verb pattern. There are also problems with agreement and sentence boundaries, as in “these promotions … is become” and the run-on sentence beginning “Nowdays people are spending.” Practise forming complete clauses, using consistent verb patterns, and separating related ideas with accurate punctuation. This will help your complex sentences communicate reliably.
