The pie chart illustrates that after completing the undergradution course the Anthropology students from single university joined different field, while the table demonstrates pay-scale of anthropologists in employment sector after five years.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0
You identify the two visuals and their general subjects, and you attempt an overview by noting that full-time and part-time work are prominent. However, the overview is incomplete and partly inaccurate: full-time work alone is the largest destination at 52%, while part-time work is 15%; together they are not presented as a single category. Part-time work combined with postgraduate study is the smallest share at 5%, which you do identify. The response does not report the salary table’s main comparisons or give supporting figures for either visual. It is also substantially below the required 150 words, leaving the task only minimally addressed. To improve, include a clear overview of both visuals and select key figures to compare.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has a basic, recognisable sequence: an opening sentence introduces the chart and table, followed by an overview beginning with “Overall.” This gives the reader some sense of structure. However, it stops after these two sentences, so there is no developed progression from the graduate destinations to the salary comparisons, nor any supporting detail. The overview also combines full-time and part-time work without clarifying their separate proportions, which weakens the relationship between the information. Use separate paragraphs for the introduction, overview and key details, and organise the figures into clear comparisons. Linking expressions such as “by contrast” or “in comparison” can help connect those comparisons without making the writing feel mechanical.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “pie chart,” “table,” “full-time work” and “postgrad,” so the topic is generally clear. However, the range is narrow because the response contains very little description of the data, and several choices are imprecise or unnatural. “Joined different field” does not clearly describe graduates’ destinations, while “pay-scale” and “employment sector” are not the most natural ways to introduce the salary information. There is also a spelling error in “undergradution.” Use accurate terms such as “destinations,” “salary bands” and “employment categories,” and vary language for reporting proportions, for example “accounted for” or “represented.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response includes a basic complex structure in “it is clearly shown that…” and uses present-tense verbs consistently to describe the visuals. The main ideas remain understandable, but grammatical control is uneven. In “the Anthropology students from single university,” the article is missing, and “joined different field” has a number-agreement problem. The phrase “part-time work plus postgrad remained the lowest in total share” also lacks a clear grammatical construction for describing a proportion. Most of the response relies on two long sentences, so there is little evidence of a wider range of sentence forms. Practise accurate articles and plural forms, and use direct constructions such as “The smallest category was…” alongside shorter sentences for data comparisons.
