Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You identify the main destination clearly: full-time work is the largest outcome at 52%, and your overview also notes the government sector’s high earnings. However, coverage of the figures is incomplete and some details are misreported. The 5% figure is for graduates combining part-time work with postgraduate study, not “full time postgrad study plus work”; full-time postgraduate study is 8%. The sentence about salaries also gives an unclear range for private-company workers and does not compare all salary bands. To strengthen the report, accurately distinguish the six graduate destinations and summarise the salary table with clear comparisons—for example, government employees have the largest share earning $100,000 or more, while private-company employees are most concentrated in the $50,000–$74,999 band.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, and paragraphs covering graduate destinations and salaries. This gives the reader a basic route through the two visuals, and linking expressions such as “Overall,” “whereas,” and “Similarly” help connect points. However, the final paragraph ends abruptly, leaving the salary comparison unfinished, and the destination details are grouped in a way that makes the figures difficult to follow. The reference to “the rest of the graduates” is also imprecise because the categories are not subsequently reported consistently. Use a complete paragraph for each visual, group related figures logically, and ensure each comparison is fully stated before moving on.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant task vocabulary, including “graduates,” “postgrad study,” “job sectors,” and “earned,” so the topic is generally clear. There is some attempt to vary wording, such as “jobless” for unemployed, but several choices are inaccurate or awkward: “unknown resources” does not describe the “not known” category, and “freelancer” is less precise than the table’s “freelance consultants.” Spelling errors such as “Amog,” “fuul,” and “adn” also reduce accuracy. Aim for precise labels from the visual and natural collocations, such as “were employed in” and “salary band.” Proofreading spelling and avoiding improvised category names would make your vocabulary more reliable and appropriate for an academic report.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast with “whereas” and a clause beginning “Among the job holders.” Most of the intended meaning can be understood, but grammatical control is uneven. For example, “52% graduates” needs a determiner or a different construction (“52% of graduates”), and “after graduating from undergraduate degree course” is missing articles. The phrase “only 15% and 5% had…” also creates a faulty comparison because the categories are not parallel. In the final sentence, the structure breaks down before the salary range is completed. Build accuracy by checking articles, prepositions, and parallel phrasing, and use complete sentences to report each figure.
