The chart below shows what Anthropology graduates from one university did after finishing their undergraduate degree course. The table shows the salaries of the anthropologists in work after five years.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparison where relevant.
Student answer (Band 7.5)
This pie chart illustrates where anthropology graduates from one university ended up after finishing their undergrad degree. While the table below provides information about their salaries after working for five years.
Overall, the majority the largest portion of anthropology graduates landed a full time job, while the smallest percentage chose to balance a part-time job with postgraduate studies. It is also worth noting that the government sector pays anthropologists more on average.
Looking at the chart, we note that 15% of those who got their undergrad degree in anthropology are working part-time while significant portion of 12% remained unemployed .For those who chose to pursue graduate level studies most of them (8%) chose to do it full-time while 5% balance a part-time job with school.
Moving on to the 51% who started working full time right after graduating, they are devided between 3 sectors with different salary ranges. those who work in the public domain seem to be doing the best financially after 5 years of work as 50 % of them are making over six figures. Whereas only 30% of private companies employees are reaching that number.
