Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response covers the main features of both the pie chart and the table. However, the analysis is somewhat superficial and contains inaccuracies. For instance, the statement that 'the most of the proportion salaries are conducted in the profession of government sector' is confusing and does not accurately reflect the data provided in the table. While you have identified the main trends, the comparison between the categories could be more precise. To improve, ensure that you clearly distinguish between percentages and salary brackets, and avoid vague phrasing like 'the trough percentage' or 'the slightly above the lowest'. A more structured approach to grouping data would enhance the clarity of your report.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The response is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. Phrases like 'Initially' are used inappropriately as the data is not chronological. Additionally, some sentences lack logical flow, such as 'the unemployed individuals and part-time workers are made up almost same but are little bit different'. The referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult to track which data points are being compared. Improving the variety and accuracy of linking words will help create a smoother progression of ideas throughout the text.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The range of vocabulary is limited and at times inappropriate for an academic report. There are several instances of awkward word choices, such as 'usual graduators' instead of 'graduates' and 'the trough percentage' instead of 'the lowest percentage'. Some phrases are grammatically incorrect or non-standard, such as 'are made up almost same'. To reach a higher band, you should focus on using more precise terminology related to data description, such as 'account for', 'represent', 'constitute', or 'a significant proportion', and ensure that your collocations are natural and accurate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement, such as 'the people who have full-time work is including' and 'the unemployed individuals... are made up'. Preposition usage is also inconsistent, for example, 'in the section of' and 'in the type of'. While you attempt some complex sentence structures, they are often marred by errors in syntax. To improve, focus on basic sentence construction and ensure that your verb forms and articles are used correctly. Reducing the frequency of these errors is essential for a higher score.
