Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response is significantly under the 150-word minimum requirement, which severely impacts the ability to fully address the task. While you have attempted to identify some main features, the report is incomplete and cuts off mid-sentence. You have failed to provide a comprehensive overview or a detailed comparison of the data provided in the table. To improve, you must ensure you cover all parts of the prompt, including a clear summary of the trends and specific data points from both the chart and the table, while ensuring the response meets the minimum length requirement.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The response shows some attempt at logical organization with an introduction and a brief overview. However, the abrupt ending and the lack of paragraph structure make it difficult to follow a clear progression of ideas. Cohesive devices are used in a very limited and sometimes mechanical way, such as 'In graph' and 'On the second'. To improve, you should use a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear focus, allowing the information to flow logically from the overview to the specific details.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is quite basic and repetitive. There are several inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'they careers' instead of 'the careers' and 'graduation degree', which is redundant. The phrasing 'between the jobs category' is also unclear. To achieve a higher band score, you need to use a wider range of vocabulary related to data description, such as 'proportion', 'fluctuated', 'accounted for', or 'remuneration'. Focus on using more precise terminology to describe the data trends and categories accurately.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the short text, including issues with articles ('the careers', 'the government sector'), subject-verb agreement, and sentence structure ('Most of them were earning... mostly were from'). The sentence 'On the second the part time workers category comes' is awkward and grammatically incorrect. You rely primarily on simple sentence structures. To improve, you should focus on mastering basic sentence construction and then work on incorporating more complex structures, such as relative clauses or passive voice, while ensuring subject-verb agreement and correct punctuation.
