Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparison where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.5)
The chart illustrates the job of anthropologists from a university after completing their undergraduate degree course, while the table compares the income of anthropologists at work after five years.
Overall, the majority of anthropologists worked as full-timers, while students doing part-time work plus postgraduate study comprised the least. The proportion of graduates who studied postgraduate full-time and students who fall into the category of "not known" is identical. Furthermore, the majority of the students involved in government sectors generated the highest revenue.
After finishing their undergraduate degree course, 52 percent of students engaged in full-time work, whereas only 15 percent did part-time work. Moreover, the percentage of students who were still unemployed was about 12 percent. There is no record of involvement of 8 percent of students in any category, which is similar to that of full-time postgraduate students.
Regarding their salaries, 50 percent of anthropologists involved in the government sector earned $[redacted phone] plus after 5 years of work, which is the highest among all categories. 5 percent of freelance consultants' and government sectors' employer-generated $25,000-49,000 after 5 years of work, which is the least amount.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have successfully identified the main features of both the chart and the table. You provided a clear overview and supported your points with relevant data. However, the analysis is slightly uneven. For instance, you mention that 'the majority of the students involved in government sectors generated the highest revenue,' which is a good summary, but the final sentence regarding salary ranges is slightly confusing and contains minor inaccuracies in data interpretation. To improve, ensure that comparisons are precise and that you clearly distinguish between the categories provided in the table. Overall, you have addressed all parts of the task effectively.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The response is logically organized, with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a summary. You use cohesive devices such as 'whereas,' 'moreover,' and 'regarding' to link ideas effectively. The progression of information is logical, moving from the employment status chart to the salary table. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the two distinct data sets. To reach a higher band, ensure that the transition between sentences is even smoother and avoid slightly repetitive sentence structures when introducing new data points.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey information clearly. Phrases like 'engaged in full-time work' and 'generated the highest revenue' are appropriate for an academic report. However, there are some minor issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'students involved in government sectors' (it would be more accurate to say 'graduates working in the government sector'). Additionally, 'employer-generated' is used incorrectly in the final sentence. Expanding your range of reporting verbs and using more precise terminology for data trends would enhance your score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, and your control of grammar is generally good. Most of your sentences are error-free, and communication is never impeded. There are occasional slips, such as 'There is no record of involvement of 8 percent of students,' which is slightly clunky. You also have a minor error in the final sentence regarding the subject-verb agreement and phrasing. To improve, try to incorporate a wider variety of complex structures, such as passive voice constructions or relative clauses, to demonstrate greater grammatical flexibility.
