Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to adequately summarize the provided data. While it mentions the categories, it does not provide a clear overview or accurately report the main features. The description of the salary table is confusing and contains significant inaccuracies regarding the data presented (e.g., claiming salaries increase by specific percentages that are not supported by the chart). The response lacks a clear structure to distinguish between the pie chart and the table, and the information provided is disjointed, making it difficult for the reader to grasp the key trends or comparisons.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The essay lacks logical progression. Paragraphs are poorly defined, and the transition between the pie chart and the table is abrupt. There is a lack of cohesive devices to link ideas, and the referencing is often unclear, such as the phrase 'those universities students' which does not clearly relate to the data. The overall structure is fragmented, and the lack of logical flow makes the information difficult to follow.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

The vocabulary is very limited and repetitive. There is a reliance on basic terms like 'increases' and 'sectors'. The phrasing is often awkward or ungrammatical, such as 'salary is twenty five thousand to fifty thousand same in three sectors'. There is no evidence of a range of vocabulary suitable for describing statistical data, and the misuse of terms like 'hiked' and 'huge' in this context is inappropriate for an academic report.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that impede communication. There are issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'three types of employees is there'), missing articles, and run-on sentences. The sentence structures are simplistic and often lack the necessary components to be grammatically correct. Punctuation is also inconsistent, and the lack of control over basic sentence construction makes the text difficult to read.
