Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response successfully covers all parts of the task. You have provided a clear overview of the main trends for both the chart and the table. The key features, such as the dominance of full-time work and the salary variations across sectors, are highlighted effectively. Data is used to support the descriptions, and comparisons are made where relevant. To reach a higher band, ensure that the data points are consistently accurate; for instance, ensure the distinction between the salary brackets is precise. Overall, the information is well-selected and provides a clear summary of the provided visual data.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, overview, and body paragraphs that separate the two data sources. The progression of ideas is easy to follow. You use some cohesive devices like 'whereas', 'similarly', and 'furthermore' to link ideas. However, the flow could be improved by using a wider variety of linking phrases to avoid repetitive sentence structures. Paragraphing is used appropriately to group related information, which helps the reader navigate the report. The overall structure is sound and supports the clear presentation of the data.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'dominated', 'opted for', and 'salary bracket' appropriately. There are some minor issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'salary of anthropologists after five year work experience' (should be 'five years of work experience') and 'higher percentage of salaries in' (which is slightly imprecise). While the vocabulary is sufficient to convey the meaning clearly, it lacks the sophistication and precision required for higher bands. Expanding your repertoire of reporting verbs and descriptive adjectives would enhance the quality of your writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors, such as 'salary of anthropologists after five year work experience' (missing plural/article) and '8% graduates activity are unknown' (should be '8% of graduates' activities are unknown'). Punctuation is generally acceptable, but there are minor slips in subject-verb agreement and preposition usage. The majority of your sentences are understandable, but the frequency of these small errors prevents a higher score. Focusing on proofreading for articles and pluralization would significantly improve your accuracy.
