Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response covers all parts of the task by summarizing the pie chart and the table. You have identified key features, such as the highest proportion of full-time workers and the salary distribution across sectors. However, the analysis is somewhat mechanical. For instance, you list percentages without always providing a clear synthesis or comparison between the categories. While you mention that the government sector outweighs others in the highest salary bracket, some data points are presented as a list rather than a cohesive report. To improve, focus on grouping related data points more effectively to highlight trends rather than just reporting individual figures.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The response is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use cohesive devices such as 'Overall', 'Firstly', 'Additionally', and 'Furthermore' to link ideas. However, some of these transitions feel slightly forced or repetitive. The referencing is occasionally unclear; for example, in the final paragraph, the phrase 'online and private sector' appears, but 'online' was not mentioned in the original data, suggesting a misinterpretation of the source material. Improving the flow between sentences and ensuring that pronouns or references clearly point to the correct data would enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'proportion', 'salary package', and 'unemployment'. However, there are several spelling errors ('cahrt', 'slary', 'higest', 'comapre') and some awkward phrasing, such as 'employ has same proportion' and 'jointly constitutes 8%, respectively'. These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the score. To reach a higher band, you should focus on accurate spelling and more precise collocations, such as using 'sector' or 'industry' consistently rather than repeating 'sector' in a way that sounds slightly unnatural.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Issues include missing articles ('at highest slary package', 'in above $0.1m package'), subject-verb agreement errors ('table provide data', 'sector employ has'), and punctuation mistakes. While these errors are noticeable, they rarely prevent the reader from understanding the intended meaning. To improve, pay closer attention to basic grammar rules, particularly the use of articles and pluralization, and ensure that your sentence structures are grammatically sound before moving on to more complex forms.
