Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response covers the main features of both the pie chart and the table. You successfully identified the largest categories and made comparisons, such as noting the high salaries in the government sector. However, the report lacks precision in data reporting. For instance, you mention '35 of students' for private companies, which is unclear (is it 35%?), and some figures are slightly inaccurate compared to the visual data. To improve, ensure that all data points are clearly labeled and accurately transcribed from the prompt. The overview is present but could be more distinct to better highlight the overall trends rather than just listing facts.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear attempt to use cohesive devices like 'Furthermore' and 'Overall'. However, the flow is occasionally hindered by awkward phrasing and mechanical transitions. Some sentences feel disconnected, and the referencing is sometimes unclear, such as 'The whose graduates information are unknown'. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear thematic focus would help the progression of ideas. The structure is functional but requires more sophisticated management of cohesive devices to reach a higher band.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey the main points, using terms like 'freelance consultants' and 'undergraduate degree'. However, there are noticeable errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'learner' instead of 'graduates' and 'as a employer' instead of 'as an employee'. Additionally, the phrasing 'very less' is non-standard; 'significantly lower' or 'a smaller proportion' would be more appropriate. To improve, focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensure that word forms are used correctly in context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('most of students are', 'the lowest wage are paid') and incorrect article usage ('the highest wages'). There are also errors in pluralization and tense consistency. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from being considered highly accurate. Focusing on basic subject-verb agreement and proofreading for small grammatical slips would significantly improve your score.
