Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response attempts to summarize the data but fails to provide a clear, accurate overview. The description of the pie chart is vague, and the interpretation of the table is inaccurate. For instance, the claim that the 'highest ratio of employees earning from government sector around 1 lakh dollars' is not supported by the data provided, which shows a range of salaries. Furthermore, the mathematical comparisons, such as '3/2 of full time people', are confusing and do not accurately reflect the visual information. To improve, focus on identifying the most significant trends and using precise figures from the charts rather than making general, unsupported statements.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The response is organized into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is often unclear. The use of cohesive devices is mechanical and sometimes inappropriate, such as the repetitive use of 'In the given...' to start sentences. Referencing is occasionally confusing, making it difficult for the reader to follow the connection between the charts and the analysis. The transition between the pie chart data and the table data is abrupt. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear focus would significantly enhance the logical flow of the report.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The range of vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'working person' instead of 'employed graduates' and 'not known' instead of 'unknown'. The phrasing 'highest ratio of employees earning' is imprecise. While the vocabulary is sufficient to convey basic meaning, it lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band score. To improve, try to use more academic terminology related to data description, such as 'proportion', 'sector', 'remuneration', and 'fluctuate'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response relies heavily on simple sentence structures. There are frequent grammatical errors, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('they show that anthropology graduates number of working person'), article usage, and pluralization ('people's', 'students are graduated'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the placement of commas. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar and the lack of complex sentence structures limit the score. Focusing on sentence construction and proofreading for basic errors would be beneficial.
