Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, which significantly impacts the ability to fully develop the response. While the main features of the pie chart are identified, the analysis of the table is extremely brief and lacks sufficient detail. The comparison between the sectors is underdeveloped, and the report lacks a concluding summary of the salary data. Because the response is under-length and lacks a comprehensive overview of all data points provided in the prompt, it does not fully address all parts of the task.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The response is organized into two paragraphs, which is a logical approach. There is an attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'Overall' and 'In term of', though the latter is grammatically incorrect. The progression of ideas is somewhat mechanical. While the information is grouped by chart type, the lack of sufficient length prevents a more sophisticated flow of information. Referencing is generally clear, but the transition between the pie chart data and the table data is abrupt.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for a higher band. There are some awkward phrasings, such as 'recorded for the part-time job' and 'most high paid jobs'. The use of 'destination' to describe graduate outcomes is slightly unnatural in this context. While the meaning is generally conveyed, the range of vocabulary is limited, and there is a lack of variety in how the data is described.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response contains a mix of simple and some complex structures, but there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation. Examples include 'In term of pie chart' (should be 'In terms of the pie chart'), 'over the half of students' (should be 'over half the students'), and 'did part-time job' (should be 'did a part-time job'). These errors are noticeable but do not completely impede communication. The control of articles and prepositions is inconsistent throughout the text.
