Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response covers both parts of the prompt by describing the pie chart regarding Anthropology graduates and the table showing salaries. However, the selection and reporting of main features are basic and sometimes inaccurate, such as stating that 'full time postgrad study and not known is same value' when the data values are distinct. The comparison between categories is very limited, and some data points contain statistical errors (e.g., 'only 305 upto 100000$' instead of 30%). While the response attempts to summarise the overall information, the lack of precise data handling and analytical comparison limits it to a Band 5.0.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.5

The text suffers from poor paragraphing and a lack of clear overall progression. The response is divided into massive, unstructured blocks of text with run-on sentences and excessive spacing errors. Cohesive devices are minimal, repetitive, or inaccurate, such as using 'first of all' followed by endless strings of data without clear logical connectors between sentences. Pronoun referencing is often confusing ('value of this group'). Overall, the structural arrangement and mechanical cohesion fall short of Band 6, placing this response at Band 4.5.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, frequently relying on simple terms like 'group', 'amount', 'percentage', and 'people'. There are frequent spelling errors such as 'whet' instead of 'what', 'undergrduate', 'anthrologists', 'wesr', and 'werre'. Attempts to use less common vocabulary are minimal, and awkward phrasing ('the very less amount of students') impedes clarity at times. This demonstrates a limited lexical range with noticeable errors, fitting the Band 5.0 descriptors.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5

The essay displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple, repetitive clause patterns (e.g., 'the amount of this group is...'). There are frequent grammatical errors, including missing articles, subject-verb agreement issues ('students wesr busy', 'salary of people is'), and run-on sentences linked incorrectly with commas or excessive spacing. Complex structures are rare and generally faulty. Communication is strained by these persistent errors, aligning with Band 4.5.
