IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The chart below shows what Anthropology graduates from one university did after finishing their undergraduate degree course. The table shows the salaries of the anthropologists in work after five years.

Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparison where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The pie chart illustrates the proportion of anthropology graduates of a specific instituition after wining their graduation certificates, while the table compares the salaries of anthropology graduates over a five-year period in three different sectors, namely freelance consultants, goverment sector and private companies.

Overall, 52 percent graduates got the full time jobs and the highest wages increased in the goverment sectors.

The students gor full time jobs are slight more than half of the graduates; furthermore, students contunue full time postgrad study have equal proportion to those who are not known in survey. Only 5 percent join part time jobs alongside their postgrad study, and 12 percent are unemployed.

Those graduates who joined the government sectors have the dramatic increase in their salaries. Those student who are employed in freelance consultant have significant increment in start but no increase in the previous year, while the private companies employes have fluctutation in their increments throughout these five year period.
