IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The chart below shows what Anthropology graduates from one university did after finishing their undergraduate degree course. The table shows the salaries of the anthropologists in work after five years.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparison where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The illustration gives information about the graduates of a university in anthropology and their pay after working for five years.
Overall, majority is doing full time work with the rate of 52%. After them 15% of the ratio are doing part-time work. Only 12% from them are unemployed. Full time postgrad study and the not known are at 8%.
It is quite evident from the pie chart that the ratio of unemployment in this profession is only 12%.
Meanwhile, 5% of the freelance consultants earns about 25 grand to 50 grand after 5 years of their work. While 15% earns about 50k to 75k, 40% were receiving 75k to 100k. Only 40% are earning 100,000+.
Furthermore, 5% of the people related to government sector earns 25k to 50k after 5 years. The ratio remain same in it like freelance in 15%. While only 30% of the graduates were earning 75k to 100k. Butt in this sector 50% are getting paid over 100,000 which stood at the top of the graph.
On the other hand, in private companies 10% of the employs are getting 25 to 50 grand after 5 years . 35% of the people receive 50k to 75k, while 25% are getting 75 to 100k. Butt only 30% receives over 100,000.
