IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The chart below shows what Anthropology graduates from one university did after finishing their undergraduate degree course. The table shows the salaries of the anthropologists in work after five years.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparison where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The pie chart shows that Anthropology graduates from a university after finishing their undergraduates degree course they got involved in multiple destinations.
Most of the students get themselves in full time work and and it is the most popular destination of anthropology graduates and after 5 years 50% of the graduates get the salary of $100,000 from government sector.
Destination of part time work of graduates is 15% and when it includes part time work and postgraduates study it lessen to 5% which is the least part in pie chart whereas, full time post graduates study is 8%. However, unemployment rate is 12% but 8% is still not known.
After 5 years the government sector and freelance consultants are paying much higher salaries i.e $75,000 or more to 40-50% graduates. On other hand, private companies paying the similar salary to 25-30% graduates. In all these employments $25,000 - $49,999 is paid to 5-10% graduates.
