Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The student attempts to cover both parts of the prompt, mentioning the pie chart data for graduate destinations and the table data for salaries across three sectors. However, the overview is extremely confused and ungrammatical ('Overall, the majority of full time workers, while the least proportion of the worker was part time'), failing to present a clear summary of main trends. Furthermore, many specific data points are reported inaccurately or incoherently, such as 'Government sector was the largest rate of salaries as compare freelance consultant was the low salaries ratio' and the jumbled figures regarding the salary brackets. While the main features are touched upon, the lack of clarity and frequent inaccuracies in data reporting prevent the response from achieving a higher band score.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The essay is divided into paragraphs, which provides a basic visual structure, but the internal organization and logical progression are severely compromised by poor sentence construction and lack of cohesive control. Transitional phrases are either missing or misused (e.g., 'regarding salaries, Government sector was...', 'After graduates almost half... as compare to...'). Pronoun referencing and substitution are frequently faulty, making it very difficult for the reader to follow the flow of information. Paragraphing is attempted, but ideas within the paragraphs feel disjointed and random.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is very basic and repetitive ('proportion', 'salaries', 'graduates', 'sector', 'work'). There are numerous word-choice and collocation errors throughout the text, such as 'passed from a university', 'more prefer full time work', 'unemployment graduates', and 'not knowwn were accounted same proportion'. Attempts to use more advanced vocabulary result in awkward or unidiomatic phrases. Spelling errors also occur ('salries'). The lexical range is limited and minimally adequate at best.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0

The essay displays a very limited range of grammatical structures, and attempts at complex sentences are almost uniformly faulty. There are persistent, severe errors in basic grammar, including missing verbs, incorrect prepositions, and severe problems with subject-verb agreement and clause structure (e.g., 'The government sector paid the salries was highest rather than others most of the people starting salary 75000$ at 30% and 50% of their salries more 100000$ plus'). Punctuation is also weak. These errors frequently impede communication and place a heavy burden on the reader.
