IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The chart below shows what Anthropology graduates from one university did after finishing their undergraduate degree course. The table shows the salaries of the anthropologists in work after five years.
Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparison where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The bar chart presents what options mostly Antropology graduates choosen after completing their respective degree course and the table displays the range of salaries for Anthropologists expect afterfive years work.
Overall, the most preferable option for more than half graduate Antropologist students is full-time work and part-time work is their second option. In addition, the half of Antrhropology graduates get highest salaries in government sector. In contrast, higher proportion of students get lowest salaries in private companies.
Begin with the bar chart, full-time work was choosen by highest proportion of students (52%). 15% students choose part-time work after graduation. Proportion of students who remained unemployed after university was 12%. The students who proceed their postgrad study and who didn't know what to do had same percentage of 8%. While less preferable option was in part-time work with postgrad study choosen by only 5%.
