Student answer (Band 6.0)

The pie chart and table provided illustrates the final spots for bachelor degree holders in anthropology from a partiuclar university, and the salaries provided to the working gradutes in different sorts of sectors post experience of 5 years, respectively.

Overall, the majority of grduates are observed to be working full_time, while less then a quater gradutes are collectively observed to be part_time job holders and job less. While almost half of the people who have 5 years of work experience in anthropology and who work in either government sector or as freenlacers gets to earn over a 100,000 dollars each year.

Firstly, more than half proportion of graduates are full_time workers, and only 15 percent of all graduates works part time. The pay scale, for people among them with atleast 5 years of work experience is quite different, depending over the type of employment they have, for instance in the freelance consulting 80% of workers get a salary of over 75,000 dollars per year, while only 20% of them earns below this figure, same goes for government sector job holders, as half of them earns over $100,000 a year, while 30% people getting over $75,000 annualy, and only 20% gets below $75000 a year, here too. On contrast, the private firms offers only 30% of anthropists over a $100,000 salary, while nearly three quarters of concerned professionals recieve less then a 100,000 dollar as salary each year, despite a 5 years work experience.

Apart from those, gradutes who are either working fully or partially, the 5% of graduates are doing part time work alonside their master degree, while 8% of bachelors are only persuing their higher studies and are not into working anyways, while unemployed graduates account for 12% , and for remanning 8% there is no infromation.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

The response successfully covers all parts of the prompt by presenting an overview of graduate destinations alongside a detailed breakdown of salaries after five years, fulfilling the requirements for Band 6 and touching upon the higher criteria. Key features such as the dominant category of full-time work and the salary distribution across sectors are selected and reported. However, some ideas are slightly under-developed or contain minor inaccuracies in data interpretation—for instance, grouping certain salary brackets together leads to slight generalisation errors, such as claiming '80% of workers get a salary of over 75,000 dollars' when the chart indicates 40% in that bracket and 40% in the $100,000+ bracket. Despite this, an overall trend is clearly established, and the overview highlights the main features of both visual aids effectively.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response presents a coherent overall arrangement with a clear attempt to group information logically by connecting the graduate destinations and subsequent salaries. Paragraphing is utilized to separate the introduction, main body details, and remaining data categories, displaying basic structural organization. However, cohesion is at times mechanical or faulty, seen in run-on sentences and imprecise referencing links like 'On contrast' and 'Apart from those, gradutes who are either working fully or partially'. Transitional devices are somewhat repetitive and overused, which prevents the essay from achieving a smooth, natural flow throughout the progression of ideas, keeping it firmly rooted in the middle bands.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

The vocabulary utilized is adequate for the task, successfully conveying meaning related to employment types and earnings with attempts at less common items such as 'freelance consulting' and 'government sector'. However, there are noticeable spelling and word-choice errors that occur throughout the text, including 'partiuclar', 'grduates', 'freenlacers', 'anthropists', 'persuing', and 'remanning'. While these errors do not severely impede communication, they reflect the characteristics of a limited lexical range with persistent inaccuracies in word form and spelling, preventing the score from reaching a higher level.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

The writer demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, attempting relative clauses and conditional structures to compare data points. There is some control over basic sentence patterns, but the text contains a mixture of grammatical errors involving subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'the chart... illustrates', 'proportion of graduates are... and only 15 percent... works'), punctuation slips, and awkward prepositional usage ('depending over', 'gets to earn'). Despite these errors in grammar and punctuation, they rarely impede overall communication, allowing the reader to follow the intended message, which is characteristic of the mid-level performance range.
