Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5

You identify the main destination, full-time work, at 52%, and attempt to cover both the chart and salary table. However, several chart figures are misreported: part-time work is 15%, not 8%; part-time work with postgraduate study is 5%, not 12%; unemployment is 12%, not 5%; and “not known” is 8%, not 15%. The salary information is also incomplete and difficult to interpret: the table gives four salary bands for each employment type, but your account combines or omits figures and uses euros rather than the dollar currency shown. There is no clear overview of the main salary patterns. The response is also one word below the required minimum. Report the key figures accurately and summarise the most notable comparisons.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The response follows the broad order of the visual, moving from graduate destinations to salaries, and words such as “overall” and “after” signal some relationships. However, the information is presented as one long, crowded sequence rather than in clearly separated sections or paragraphs. The repeated phrasing about graduates finishing their degree makes the progression difficult to follow, while the salary sentence beginning “freelance consultants and government sector” does not clearly show which figures belong to which category or band. Use a short overview, then group the destination figures together and explain the salary table separately. Clear sentence boundaries and explicit comparisons would make the organisation easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some task-relevant terms, including “full-time work,” “postgrad study,” “unemployed,” “freelance consultants” and “government sector,” so the reader can recognise the topic. However, vocabulary is repetitive and several word choices or forms reduce precision: “graduated student” and “Anthorology graduated” are not natural ways to refer to graduates, and “salary are giving” does not express the intended meaning clearly. There are also spelling errors in words such as “degree,” “Anthropology” and “postgraduate.” Use standard chart-reporting language and accurate employment and salary terms. This would make the limited range more effective and help distinguish categories and figures.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt to communicate several pieces of information in connected sentences, but sentence structures are mostly simple or run together, and grammatical control is inconsistent. For example, “the percentage of graduated student” has a number and noun-form problem, while “freelance consultants and government sector is” has subject–verb agreement errors. The phrase “after the five year,s work” also shows problems with plural formation and punctuation. Commas and full stops are often missing or misplaced, making long stretches hard to parse. Practise forming accurate comparison sentences, such as “The proportion in full-time work was…,” and check agreement, articles, plurals and sentence boundaries before submitting.
