Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You identify the main destination, full-time work, and include several figures, such as 52% in full-time work and 15% in part-time work. You also attempt to compare salary distributions across the three employment types. However, coverage is partial and some key information is unclear or inaccurate: the 5% figure is for part-time work combined with postgraduate study, not simply “other” people, and the salary figures are percentages within salary bands, not salary amounts. The claim that government employees received higher salaries than freelance consultants is not supported across all bands: government has a larger share in the top band, but the distributions are otherwise similar. Give a concise overview of the main patterns, then report precise comparisons from both visuals.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic sequence: it first discusses graduate destinations, then salaries, and ends with an overall statement. This gives the reader some sense of the two visuals. However, progression is limited because the final overview repeats claims already made rather than synthesising the main patterns, and several details are repeated, such as unemployment being mentioned twice. Linking is often mechanical or missing: “while” is attached without clear punctuation, and “Second chart” does not smoothly connect the sections. Use a clear introduction, a distinct overview, and two focused detail paragraphs. Group related figures together and use accurate references such as “the remaining graduates” to make relationships between categories easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-related vocabulary, including “full-time,” “part-time,” “unemployed,” “salary,” and “private companies,” so the topic is generally recognisable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make the meaning imprecise. “Different timing work” is not a natural way to describe destinations, while “handsome salaries” is informal and evaluative for an academic report. “Freelance consultants have less salaries” is also an inaccurate expression, and “moderate salaries like 10%, 35%...” confuses salary levels with proportions. Spelling errors such as “anthroplogy” and “diagramme” are noticeable. Prefer neutral, precise terms such as “employment destinations,” “salary bands,” and “the proportion earning”.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You communicate some basic information through simple clauses, for example, “The people work as full time job are 52%.” However, grammatical control is weak and errors occur throughout, sometimes making relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Examples include missing or incorrect articles and verb forms in “people working in private companies they receives,” and faulty sentence construction in “Freelance consultants have less salaries than the Government employed.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent: “study.while” joins sentences incorrectly, and several clauses begin with “While” without being properly connected. Most sentences follow a simple pattern, with attempts at longer structures often becoming inaccurate. Practise complete, clearly punctuated sentences and check subject–verb agreement, articles, and plural forms.
