Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You cover both the graduate destinations and the salary table, and your overview identifies full-time work as the largest destination category. Several comparisons are also accurate: for example, you report that 50% of government employees and 40% of freelance consultants earned over $100,000, and that private-company workers were most represented in the $50,000–74,999 band. However, the overview is incomplete and includes an unclear claim that government graduates “earn huge money than any other sectors”; government has the highest share in the top salary band, but not across every salary range. Some figures are misreported: full-time postgraduate study was 8%, not the same as the 8% “not known” category only in the sense that both share that value; your wording obscures this distinction. The final salary comparison also omits the private-company figure of 25%. Select the main contrasts more clearly and report each category precisely.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, a paragraph on destinations and a paragraph on salaries. This helps the reader distinguish the two visuals, and phrases such as “To begin with” and “On the other hand” signal a change of focus. However, progression within the paragraphs is uneven. The overview combines a destination feature with a salary claim and then returns to the smallest destination category, while the salary paragraph moves through bands in a long, crowded sequence. Some linking words are not used accurately, and repeated references to “the students” and “the graduates” make the account feel list-like. Group the salary data by meaningful contrasts and use clearer references, so each paragraph develops one main point rather than simply listing figures.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant topic vocabulary, including “full-time work,” “unemployed,” “government sector” and “salary slot,” so the reader can generally identify the categories being discussed. There is some attempt to vary expression, but word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or awkward, as in “does full-time work,” “earn huge money,” and “more than double as compared to.” Spelling errors such as “priavte,” “saleirs” and “secortor” also reduce clarity and control. Some phrases are imprecise: “not known” refers to graduates’ destinations being unknown, not to graduates themselves. Aim for standard chart-reporting language such as “accounted for,” “earned,” and “the proportion in this income band,” and check spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrast with “however” and a relative clause beginning “who are doing part-time work.” However, many sentences contain errors in verb forms, agreement, articles or sentence construction. For example, “52% of students doing full time work” needs a finite verb, while “the highest percentage of graduates does” has incorrect agreement and tense. The opening phrase “who did finished” also combines incompatible verb forms. Long sentences in the salary paragraph are difficult to follow because clauses are joined without reliable punctuation, and “the number has same” is grammatically incomplete. Build accuracy first with clear subject–verb sentences, then add subordinate clauses and check each sentence’s punctuation.
