Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You identify the main categories in both visuals and report many of their figures, including 52% in full-time work, 12% unemployed, and the salary distributions for freelance consultants and private companies. However, the response mainly lists data rather than selecting and summarising the key features; there is no clear overview of the dominant destination or the broad salary pattern. Some descriptions are unclear or inaccurate: “full time works show the salaries 52% in the university” confuses graduate destinations with salaries, and the government-sector figures are not fully reported. The response is also 144 words, below the 150-word minimum; eight words copied from the prompt were excluded. Add a concise overview and explain the main comparisons.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has a basic sequence, moving from graduate destinations to employment-sector salaries, and “First of all” and “Secondly” signal this shift. This gives the reader some sense of organisation. However, the ideas within each section are mostly presented as a string of short statements beginning with “And,” and the repeated use of “show” makes the progression mechanical. The government-sector information is especially difficult to follow because “same price and same pertcentage” does not clearly identify which salary bands are being compared. Use separate paragraphs for the two visuals, group related figures, and connect comparisons explicitly—for example, contrast the highest salary shares across the three employment types.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some task-relevant terms, including “full-time postgrad study,” “freelance consultants,” and “private companies,” so the reader can recognise the subject matter. However, vocabulary is basic and repetitive, with “show,” “workers,” and “salarise” used repeatedly or inaccurately. Several spelling errors—such as “illurates,” “Goverments,” “pravite,” and “percantage”—also make the report less clear. Some word choices confuse the data: “salaries 52%” should refer to the proportion of graduates entering full-time work, not a salary. Aim for precise reporting language and accurate collocations, such as “accounted for,” “earned,” and “salary band,” while checking spelling before submission.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0
The response relies mainly on simple sentence patterns, and frequent errors in sentence formation, agreement, articles, and punctuation sometimes distort the intended meaning. For example, “The chart … show” lacks a clear grammatical subject and has incorrect agreement, while “the table show the salaries of the anthropologists an the work of the five years” is difficult to interpret because the clauses and time phrase are not formed correctly. Sentence fragments such as “And the Unemployed 12%” and “Or the part time work +postgrad study 5%” also interrupt the report. There is little evidence of controlled complex structures. Practise complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and combine related figures using accurate clauses, such as “Full-time work was the most common destination, at 52%.”
