Student answer (Band 6.0)
The pie graph shows the destination of Anthropology graduates from one university and the table demonstrate the salaries of graduates after 5 years.
Overall, the largest proportion of the graduates go for full-time work. Only the little numberof the graduates were unemployed. The Government sector employees take higher salaries while the candidates of private companies take least salaries.
Firstly, 52% graduates were full-time job employers. 15% people accounted for part time work and 5% for postgrade study. The proportion of 8% for full time postgrad study. This was the same figure for not known graduates. 12% graduates were unemployed.
The table shows the salaries distribution after 5 years. The Government sector employees got higer salaries. 50% of its employees get 100,000 + salary. This was the largest figure. The 40% freelancers consultants get salaries between $75,000 to 99,000$. The employees of private companies get the lower salaries after 5 years. 35% employees get salaries between $50,000 to $84,999.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You cover both visuals and identify the main destination, full-time work, as the largest category. You also report several accurate figures, including 52% in full-time work, 12% unemployed, and the 50% of government employees earning $100,000 or more. The overview makes a relevant comparison between sectors, but “private companies take least salaries” is too broad: private-company employees are most concentrated in the $50,000–74,999 band, while government employees have the largest share in the top band. There is also a data error: the private-company figure is $50,000–74,999, not $50,000–84,999. The table discussion is less complete than the chart summary; compare the salary distributions across all three sectors more precisely to develop the key features.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, an overview, and separate discussion of the graduate destinations and salary table. This makes the information easy to locate, and sequencing words such as “Overall” and “Firstly” help signal the structure. However, the progression within the table paragraph is limited, and the comparisons are not consistently developed. For example, the statement that private-company employees “get the lower salaries” is followed by only one salary band, without contrasting it with the other sectors’ distributions. Some linking is also mechanical, and “This was the same figure” requires the reader to infer which earlier percentage it refers to. Use clearer references and connect figures through direct comparisons.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant task vocabulary, including “proportion,” “unemployed,” “salary distribution,” and “Government sector,” so the meaning is generally understandable. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “graduates go for full-time work,” “job employers,” and “freelancers consultants.” “Postgrade study” is also not the appropriate term for postgraduate study, and “higher salaries” is too general when describing the table’s income bands. Spelling errors such as “higer” and the joined form “numberof” further reduce accuracy. Aim for precise, conventional chart language—for example, “worked full-time,” “freelance consultants,” and “earned salaries of $100,000 or more”—and check spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You communicate the main points using a mixture of simple statements and some longer structures, and most sentences remain understandable. There are, however, some errors in agreement, articles, and verb forms. For example, “the table demonstrate” should use a singular verb, while “52% graduates were” needs an article or a suitable plural construction. The overview shifts between present and past forms (“go” and “were”), and “50% of its employees get” does not maintain consistent tense with the surrounding account. Sentence fragments or incomplete constructions also appear in “The proportion of 8% for full time postgrad study.” Use consistent past tense for the reported outcomes and form complete sentences around each figure; this would improve accuracy while retaining your range of sentence forms.
