The pie chart illustrates the proportion of the work of anthropology students from a particular university after their undergradute degree course, while the table provides the data of the salaries of working anthropologists after 5 years.
Overall, the highest percentage of the anthropologists accounted for the full-time work after their degree course, while the smallest proportion of the students had the part-time work with postgraduate study. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You identify the main destination pattern accurately: full-time work is the largest category at 52%, and part-time work combined with postgraduate study is the smallest at 5%. You also compare salary bands across the three employment types and correctly note the government sector’s 50% share in the top band. However, the overview is partly unclear: freelance consultants do not generate the lowest income overall, since their largest shares are in the two highest bands, and the table shows salary distributions rather than total income. Some chart categories are omitted, including the 8% whose destination was not known and the 5% in part-time work plus postgraduate study. Develop the comparisons more fully and report the salary bands precisely.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, an overview, and separate paragraphs for graduate destinations and salaries. This makes the two visuals easy to distinguish, and linking expressions such as “Overall,” “Regarding salaries,” and “In contrast” help guide the reader. The progression is generally logical, but some connections are awkward or unclear. For example, “However” does not express a clear contrast between the two overview points, and “meanwhile” joins the salary comparison in a way that makes the relationship difficult to follow. The destination paragraph also omits two categories, so its account feels incomplete. Use more precise links and group related figures into direct comparisons to make the progression smoother.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant task vocabulary, including “proportion,” “accounted for,” “full-time,” “postgraduate,” and “salary,” and the meaning is generally understandable. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “the proportion of the work,” “students are accompanied as” postgraduate students, and “generate almost” a salary. There are also spelling errors, including “undergradute,” “employes,” “recieved,” and “unemploment,” which reduce accuracy. Some expressions are imprecise: “the highest amount of salary” and “generate the lowest income” do not clearly describe the table’s percentage distribution across salary bands. Aim for consistent terms such as “graduates,” “earned,” and “accounted for,” and check spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “while” and “although,” and the overall meaning can usually be followed. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly with articles, agreement, and verb forms. For example, “a full-time employees” mismatches the article and plural noun, while “50% of people generate” shifts into the present tense and has an awkward subject–verb relationship. “Only 12% graduate students are still faced an unemployment” also has faulty sentence structure and verb formation. There are some successful sentence patterns, but control is uneven across the response. Check singular and plural forms, maintain consistent past-tense reporting, and simplify sentences when a more complex construction becomes difficult to control.
