Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You identify the main destination, full-time work, and report several figures accurately, including 52% in full-time work, 12% unemployed, and 8% in full-time postgraduate study and unknown destinations. However, the response covers the task only partially: the overview is vague, and the salary table is left incomplete. The statement that 5% is the smallest destination figure is inaccurate, since part-time work plus postgraduate study is 5%, but this is not postgraduate study alone. You also give an incorrect figure, “155%,” for the freelance-consultant salary band, and omit the private-company data and most government figures. The response is two words below the required minimum. To improve, give a clear overview and select accurate comparisons from both visuals, including the highest salary bands.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response has some basic organisation: it begins by introducing the chart and table, then discusses graduate destinations before moving to salaries. This gives the reader a recognisable sequence. However, progression is limited because the destination figures are repeated in separate paragraphs, and the salary discussion stops partway through the government-sector figures. Linking words such as “While” are used repeatedly and sometimes do not connect complete or contrasting ideas clearly. The paragraphing also does not yet help the reader distinguish a concise overview from supporting details. Organise the response into an introduction, an overview of the main patterns, and focused detail paragraphs for destinations and salaries; avoid repeating figures and use linking expressions only where the relationship is clear.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “full time work,” “unemployed,” “postgrad study,” “freelance consultants,” and “Government sector,” so the topic is generally identifiable. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make the report less clear, such as “chat” for chart, “completel,” “complicition,” and “graduares.” Phrases such as “least number of ratio” are not natural ways to describe proportions, and “students” is imprecise when referring to graduates. Use standard chart language consistently, for example “proportion,” “accounted for,” and “salary band.” Check spelling carefully, and choose terms that accurately describe the categories rather than relying on repeated, informal wording.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The response attempts a few longer sentence patterns, including “While the students who are doing part time or postgrad study work…” and “12% of students are unemployed while…,” but these constructions are often incomplete or difficult to follow. There are frequent problems with verb forms, agreement, and sentence structure: “The chat displays what Anthropology graduates doing” lacks a finite verb, while “the table illustrate” has incorrect subject–verb agreement. The phrase “full time postgrad study and not known students are have equal number” also combines incompatible verb forms and has unclear structure. Most sentences rely on simple present-tense statements, with limited accurate variety. Practise complete clauses and straightforward comparisons, checking that each subject has a correctly formed verb and that clauses joined by “while” are grammatically complete.
